  1. You should try a 5- turn Uni. Similar to the clinch but very braid friendly.
  2. Gunfish and Sammies are certainly worth the ~$16 tag.
  3. No wire tie, no sale!
  4. The wire tie option is the best 25 cents you will ever spend.
  5. Siebert Outdoors makes nice tungsten weights.
  6. I ordered a chartreuse head with a chartreuse/white skirt for murky water. For clear water, I would consider the Fogy color with a white head or a bluegill with a watermelon head.
  7. I would happily tell you if I'd been able to purchase a lefty Curado I at any point between February and now. So if you like to reel Southpaw, Chronarch E.
  8. If you're not mechanically inclined, don't disassemble your fishing reel. Source: I am not mechanically inclined.
  9. Savvy rods are "fine" sensitivity-wise but I would advise against purchasing one because the cork is cheap and the handle starts to look like hell very quickly.
  10. Did you get any fun head/skirt combinations? I always get a few tried and true colors and then one or two "experiments". Smoked Jelly swim jig + PBJ Rage Bug? We'll see what the bass think!
  11. A rep sample or used 6'8" MF Shimano Cumara Jig and Worm rod should run you $150 or a little more. I got mine off the 'Bay for $170 shipped last summer. I use mine for all of the techniques you have listed plus small Senkos and finesse jigs.
  12. I have trouble biting on the Inferno when it is possible to get new Max and Endurance rods for $20 more. I'm sure I'd try one at $100, but I have a hard time believing that it's smoking any competition at $129.99.
  13. Yes you should have no problems with soft plastic jerkbaits.
  14. I am a big fan of the 6'3" MXF Eyecon. You might have trouble doing 1/8 oz and 5/8 oz jerkbaits on the same rod though.
  15. 3/0 EWG Gamakatsu
  16. Both of those things are fixable with $. I like how yours looks though.
  17. Diablo III and Hearthstone here. I'm thinking about Wildstar, but I'd rather spend the $15/month on lures for now.
  18. I take ~1" off the legs and bend the hooks up just a little so they aren't resting on the frog. I like the tip about working a new Spro frog; they're a little stiff out of the package.
  19. I hear that the 7'7" MH *** Green makes a heck of a frog rod. You could get that and spend $70 on Spro frogs.
  20. I think a new Veracity for $100 would be a good purchase.
  21. I would go Tatula based on price. Valley Sports will hook you up. Put the money you save into sexy upgrades, like a Hawgtech handle.
  22. I don't think it's possible to manhandle someone over the internet. $20 for a bearing upgrade is a good price, but I don't think you'll see enormous gains in performance unless you're pitching. Most dudes upgrade their bearings because they like to tinker with reels. A properly cleaned and oiled bearing goes a long way.
  23. It's hard to say anything bad about the President reels. You should check out a Daiwa Legalis as well if you're going to buy the reels from Bass Pro or somewhere. It's another $60 spinning reel that is very good. I would avoid the Shimano Sedona at retail price but if you want to spend $80, the Sahara is an excellent choice.
  24. Tackle Warehouse has 100-packs.
  25. Coooooooooool.
