  1. If it has to be white and under $130, shop around for a gently used Shimano Chronarch 50 or 200E.
  2. Overcast, but that's just my preference. I'll throw them as long as there is wind.
  3. Wind is a necessity (to me). Overcast means flashy gold, clear or partly cloudy is a sexy shad or gill pattern.
  4. They said there would be shipping delays. I sprung for 2-day air and it got here, but the ground shipping is a bit backed up from what I understand.
  5. I used to fish the city pond in a somewhat "affluent" neighborhood. The conversations were pretty good. One time I hit a jogger with a pounder that flew over my head after a Bill Dance hookset. Pleasantries were exchanged and I, uh, did not get her number.
  6. I haven't fished one yet, but it will probably be my next rod unless I stone up for a Mephisto or something stupid. I'm going off second-hand info, but I'll be purchasing it for the exact techniques you plan on using it for and the consensus is that it is "perfect".
  7. It is worth picking up if it is in fair shape. There is still plenty of demand for Sols.
  8. I would go with the Perfect Pitch.
  9. Now you have to buy another reel to get the blue shirt!
  10. Bugs the hell out of me too. Pass the meds.
  11. KVD finesse worm in Blue Fleck paired with however much tungsten necessary to hold bottom.
  12. Braid is cool (usually) unless it's a honeycomb spool.
  13. Left hand reels for topwater are a great idea.
  14. Funny you mention that. I just lost a bright orange tape measure! On topic, rods and reels matching is not always under my control. However, rod socks must match. No exceptions.
  15. It's never too cold for a lipless crankbait.
  16. Got a 15 lb Boga Grip and some Owner trebles. Came real close to getting a MB Vibration-X Ultra. Maybe next time.
  17. Smoked Jelly
  18. 36" is a good start. Adjust longer or shorter according to your personal preference. I use a lot of 10 lb Red Label as leader material as it is cheap and doesn't suck.
  19. That'll do, pig. That'll do.
  20. Wacky Senko under a float, as illustrated by Crestliner2008 in the Smallmouth forum.
  21. 10 or 12 lb Siege. It runs a little thick diameter-wise, so that would explain your issues with the 20 lb. At $7-8 for 300 yards, the price is right.
