The I'ze spools are going to be hard to come by as well, unfortunately. It's possible that there will be an SV spool introduced for the Zillion frame, which would be a sweet addition assuming that it's not bright orange. I'd look at Zillion Type R drag stars. They're good lookin' and only about $20.

The 103 is "designed" for pitching and has Magforce V. I would get the 100 for casting because I like Magforce Z. I'm sure you'd be fine with the 103 but it is "wilder" and there are better reels for the job. The X factor with the Steez frame is that you have a lot of spool options, including the popular RCS 1016. I also might wait for Daiwa's new Steez SV that should be coming at I-Cast.

I have a 7' M Veracity. It's quite alright with 5" Senko-style baits and Texas rigs including the weights you stated. I would certainly agree with your idea of dropping down to 12 or even 10 lb. line, depending on the situation. A MH Abu Garcia will likely be too much rod for the lighter weights.

$15 for three 1/2 oz Rat-L-Traps, where I need to replace the hooks and frown when the paint comes off after a few fish. $16.50 for three 1/2 oz Red Eye Shads, which I need to test and tune and retest. Something Zillion. I fish the 7.1:1 a lot but the PE Special has the best color scheme. Still looking for a Cabela's 50th to put on a green NRX.

Alphas SV is good with braid. 40 lb is probably the highest I would run for capacity's sake.

I have that Triumph. For $80, you could do much worse. I have it paired with a Stradic 1000 and 10 lb braid. The rod really loads and launches 1/4 oz lures.
