  1. Purchase an SV spool for your Ito. Solved.
  2. IMX not worth the money. However the E6X are pretty solid if you like lime green. Probably a toss up between that and the Avid.
  3. So if it's not a designated crosswalk, how are you ticketed for parking too close to a crosswalk? Does Milwaukee have implied crosswalks or something?
  4. You'll probably have issues in heavy pads and with lighter cranks. So I wouldn't use it for frogs or shad raps but a medium power fast rod will do a lot. Probably also wouldn't be trying to set stout jig hooks with it. If you're looking for ideal presentations, Senko, Texas rigs 1/4 and under, light wire swim jigs, finesse jigs, 4" swimbaits like a Keitech, spinnerbaits without big Colorado blades, 3/8 Oz squarebills, smaller walking top waters, pop r's, and super flukes. Of course there are more almost ideal techniques but I'm sure you get the idea.
  5. $120 is a good price. So $300 for a NIB one is stupid but there are people paying over retail for NIB Chronarch 50E's apparently.
  6. Fury 795 for just over $100. Hard to beat that.
  7. Yeah kind of an awkward spot for me to give recommendations. My work is done along the east side of the east bay. However, there should be a launch somewhere along 22. DNR should have a list of public launches. Lake Leelanau could be worth checking out as well but I wouldn't know where to begin. West bay can be a little wild if I'm not mistaken, make sure you've got plenty of craft.
  8. Well it will certainly work for creek chubs, though 15 lb is probably more than enough unless your chubs are in some really nasty cover.
  9. 20 lb Big Game? What are you fishing for, lions?
  10. Actually just went to a very sensible wedding; old friends got married at a brewery an hour and a half from where we grew up. Starting at 5:00 PM: ceremony was fifteen minutes, open bar immediately after. Apps, salad, dinner, cake, dance, boom done and I'm on the road at 9:45.
  11. Open sideplate, adjust brake pins.
  12. Owner Beast weighted 4/0 or Owner Twistlock Weighted 5/0. The Beast has a better gap, the Twistlock comes through/over grass better. Apparently you can also fish them on a plain 4/0 EWG hook but I haven't been able to make that work reliably.
  13. The 117 is surprisingly subtle. Long, smooth glides. I don't have the SB-105... yet.
  14. Yeah either that or the 734 depending on cover, line, and which jig size you're going to throw more.
  15. Probably will see a new GLX at Icast or the next year's classic.
  16. Yeah there are some $100 rods that give you a lot of sensitivity for the money. Better, more durable components in some cases too.
  17. Yar, that's my solution to a sticky inductor. Make sure it's purple or it won't work properly.
  18. I dunno. I think you're being picky. I like watching BlacktipH break rods and fall overboard. I like LakeForkGuy's bulldog. I like the Uncut Angling guys and their shenanigans. Also some of the younger guys and their unboxings are good if they go into their thought processes behind choosing lures. I will say that the * channel is my favorite and they're fairly no-nonsense. "Fish this on this with this, hope that helps." But yeah. If they annoy you, don't subscribe, don't watch. Use the dislike button.
  19. For whatever reason, Hybrid feels super dead in my hands, so I don't use it. However fluoro is unnecessary unless you're pausing jerks in cold water. Different conversation there. #crankwithbraid
  20. Straight braid. I'm experimenting with 6" of CXX to prevent bite-offs but results are inconclusive.
  21. Going to have to double check my 7", but it's either 1 or 1/0 ST-41.
  22. Good one from two Fridays ago. Took this before opening the gap with pliers and clipping the barb. Metal.
  23. I fit 5 rods into a TW tube for a trade-in once. It was not pretty and I am amazed that they made it intact.
