the hot springs locals fish a 1/4 oz black buzz bait in white oak basin or hot springs creek around docks stump beds till 10 am maybe that will help

yes I do go to texas or missouri and fish any where but Hamilton ,if i had to fish there it would by with a shakey head 5 " zoom finness worm on river channel banks or 1/2 jig in brush piles around docks

I went fishing on lake Degray yesterday a little over 3 hrs fishing, caught 4 fish 2 on my trusty clear chug bug and two on worms the 2 chug bug fish where in the breaks between point 14 abd 15 caugh1 on a green candy worm down by iron mtn about 31/2 pounds and a another one about 5 lbs north of point cedar....on a blue black worm not many bites ..alot of boat rideing...to many people down lake..not as many boaters north of yancey creek..

going fishing on degray this evening will start a 6pm and fish till 10 pm will give report if i can make it and weather permits,,going to fish humps and ledges downlake..worms 15 to 25 ft if every thing works out

try 20 pound mono on your jig will slow down fall rate .weeds make good bass cover ..also try larger trailer,,to slow fall rate...fish the weeds just like its a big brush pile just jerk bait loose from weeds and let settle again have faith...in what you fish...

when the high temps get back down in the low 90 range we can give it a try last week caught 9 bass on tue 6 on a clear chug bug chasing shad and 3 after dark on a speed worm...fished on a slip sinker about 16 ft deep ...went friday and did not put a bass in the boat....what a difference...

I fish Degray about 3 times a week ,I fish the upper end of the lake,try to fish creek channel banks rock drops,5'' worms in watermellon seed and watermellon red 3/16 oz slipsinkers light line ,and a few topwater baits in clear or natural colors chugbug or yellow magic.....lots of good spots down lake try nite fishing or early morning @ late evening 5 till dark try to keep boat in 30 foot of water when you work banks...look for fish 15 to 25 foot deep also fish deep edge of grass beds..

I fish Lake Degray about 100 times a year,been fishing western Arkansas lakes 43 years,i fish worms and topwater mostly....got a 17year old javelin boat held together with chewing gum and bailing wire, It floats and runs ,I'am 67 never to old to learn and may be I can give some help...

I fish the local lakes around hot springs area Lake Degray about 3 times a week Lake Hamilton, Lake Ouachita,and Lake Gresson....worm color,watermelon red in zoom products is hard to beat,I will try and post some trip reports when I get back to fishing been down in back ...couple of ruptured disks...will be fishing next week I hope...
