  1. So if your brand loyal!
  2. Just kinda smiling as I read this. Nothing seems to go right on home repairs. I still do all my own stuff because I can screw it up twice and still come out cheaper than a company can. Of the few times someone did work for me,I came away unhappy. jbsoonerfan ,if you happen to have purchased a Moen faucet the hot/cold hook up doesn`t matter.It is easily corrected by removing the handle and rotating the stem 180 deg on most units.
  3. X2 Sometime there are so many exclusions its hard to understand them. I looked at a major brand outboard that bragged about a 6 year warranty. I read into to find that after 3 years the only thing covered was the decals on it. The dealer would not let me take a copy home to study it===red flag
  4. Hard water again on all my ponds . Not happy, I`m so depressed I went out and purchased two more rods this morn. C22
  5. I have to say that when the prices were high, and I had two kids in college and traveled 1000 miles weekly to work, none of the oil workers or companies sent me a sympathy letter or check.
  6. Twice with in a half hour smallies about 13/14" actually jumped into my canoe. The river was high and very muddy and I was throwing a spinnerbait with a hugh Colorado blade. I guess the thumping indicated that something was coming after them.The kids and I got a big laugh . I have seen many of them jump at night to "escape" spinnerbaits.
  7. Yep, local station is talking a smidge of snow Tues., & close to zero this weekend. I like cold wx but come on. I have lilies up 6" with a few flowers and roses showing new green growth .
  8. Fresh water ==never salt water drifting for flounder in 60' of water == yes
  9. Sacked X 7 ==can`t win no game doin that.
  10. Dwight,Ya gotta love the way they whack them too.The way this winter is going ,they may spawn[tap out ] soon. I can`t get them to take jigs just yet?? Times past 1/8 oz hair & 2" beattle spin grubs were favorites for them. C22
  11. No bass this trip, just pickerel, yellows and crappie. Some what of a high pressure day and the fish were not as enthusiastic as normal for this locale.The yellows are full of roe now and on the feed.About 7 of them,with 1@ 13=1/2" . 2 nice crappies @13",that took a 4" jerk. Everything on jerks, from 2=1/2" to 4" Wt 45 =I wish my arms were longer to get better pics
  12. No input here,but if you visit MD waters, beware of their rules on materials that can absorb micro organisms and transfer them. http://usatoday30.usatoday.com/news/nation/environment/2011-04-28-rock-snot-felt-sole-wader-ban_n.htm
  13. Ha= leave the windows open My son used to have a window open all winter when he was at home, yet slept under two super insulated comforters.He has his own home now and doesn`t do that. ? It all figures . I`m driving less than any time in my life and the prices are way low.$1.67 round here C22
  14. Great short trip.. Man you got the fire goin on in your heart for fishing .
  15. Skunks prevailed last two trips from the bank. Today fishing prefront was not as good as expected with 3 lmb about 15",a few pickerel and 6 yellows at least 12" on small jerks. One swallowed it beyond recovery so in the bucket it went. One is not enough so I took a second one for breakfast. Heavy rain chased me in. WT really went up at over 54 deg. C22
  16. Congats on a nice trip.We all need them to recharge the mental battery.
  17. So true, was out again today with some good fish. It was almost short sleeves .I quit early to enjoy the wx. and look for other open water. Nothin but ice ,so I stopped at the casino to come out $400+ in my pocket. May have to get some helicopter lures and and maybe an ugly stick with the winnings[smile] LIG Catch22
  18. 49yrs + same one==trust me its not a monopoly give some =take some
  19. Nice catchin, gotta love new fish.
  20. I was back on the"new to me "pond today. I fished 3 hrs with only one pickerel & two lmb.I covered lots of cover and made many casts.About 1 pm they started liking an LC100 real good. The sun was way high in a cloudless sky.8 lmb in an hour started off and ended by nice pickerel in 6 to 7 foot depth. The lmb averaged about 2-1/4 lbs with the large around 3 1/2lbs It was a great day over all with the catch at 10 lmb==4 nice pickerel from 21"to 23" The pick pic shows the LC out of sight . She wanted it. WT just barely broke 40 deg one time. The shaded coves still had ice. My seat is 14" wide Nice trip home and I stopped at my local pond to watch the sunset in the brisk temps along with one eagle,two blue herons,several geese and one turtle up for a breath of air.I love it. Aside from the ice on most ponds now this is my favorite time of year. Its quiet ,peaceful and the fishin is a bonus.I actually show signs of being depressed about mid March when the cold water period ends. C22
  21. I fished the 1977 Virginia Invitational BASS tourney on Gaston, as did Billy and many more stars to be.I used to have his book along with some Spinrites too. To bad he didn`t achieve the world record smallie he chased so long. C22
  22. Thanks all.I was out yesterday on a new to me lake. With only a few hrs to try,I beat the banks for one 15" lmb and two dinks+one pickerel. LMAO.I made a moonshot cast into a tree branch I failed to see.It is one of my best lures and I had to get it back.Hummm what to do.I tied the anchor rope around the net handle and on the third throw I got it back. It was a video moment "for shore" I `m glad I didn`t have to explain what I was doing to anyone. C22
  23. I`ll take one of those==nice catch. C22
  24. A local pond,a few yrs back
  25. Check with DNR regs as said. Some areas allow reduction by putting veggy oil on nest eggs. It smothers them and mom will sit on them all summer.If you destroy them ,mom will lay more. A spray can of shellac works too. C22
