  1. My wife had got me a Nikon D40 for Christmas two years ago. Came with the camera two lenses and a carry case. I think she paid around $600 for it. It has been a good camera, doesn't have all the bells and whistles as some of the other higher end Nikons but the photo quality and adjustabliity have been great. The D40's are probobly cheaper by now with all the newer models out. With your price range you should be able to find a real good camera and maybe have a little $ left over for some other accesories like a tripod or flash.
  2. not to thread jack but what club are you joining? i have been looking at some of the clubs around south florida and thought it might be cool to sign on so i could be a co-angler and maybe get some experience. getting out on a boat would be a plus too.
  3. lol yeah all i caught was a little sun burn and maybe malaria, mosquitos were terrible out there. left the house in a rush without repellent, but sure had the fish repellent on that A.M. definately going to have to get a tape measure and get in on the fun, i have been stalking this forum for about a month but just haven't posted.
  4. I went out on sunday and had a pretty good day. Need to remember to put a measure tape in the tackle box so I can joint the fun. I was out in margate at around 4:30pm caught a few small bass largest maybe 2#'s and one small snakehead. I had went out earier on sunday morning at the end of royal palm blvd and sawgrass and got skunked. The afternoon trip made up for it! Awesome peacock BassinLou!
  5. Awsome post as I will be in the market for a boat round new years (motorcycle paid off) and not really knowing much about boats, mechanic by trade, kinda in the same boat as you. It was a good read. need a good place to look for like "what to look for when buying used boats" website.
  6. Man this is a cool thread, now that I have seen it may try to get some posted. Need a tape measure though!
