  1. my mistake meant to say national park employess.
  2. I read that on the cover of the newspaper while in line at the convienent store. It's really crappy if you think about from all side the fisherman and the employees that work for the state park.
  3. Sweet finally broke the dry spell, went out a lunch time and managed to catch one about 11". I took a pic of it next to my rod, will need to get a pic of the tape measure against the rod for verification. Caught on a watermelon green tuscaroran tpl needle worm 8" t-rigged weightless. http://www.bassresource.com/bass-fishing-forums/gallery/image/7302-ruler/ Sweet looks like I under estimated. 1 fish 12.5" BassinLou is this good enough to verify fish size?
  4. x2 Looking forward to the story
  5. Congtrats on the new PB! Post some pics of the beast!!!
  6. Nice boat jhef! Very informative thread. Good luck on finding the right 'yak Felix77
  7. Oh I may only post mainly in the bragging rights thread, but I do spend plenty of time killing the down time at work researching all of the forum. Been doing a lot of reading on the etiquette of co-angling. Thinking about joining a bass club!
  8. I was about to stop for a few minutes on the way home from work today. No fish started to rain so I left. Glad you guys decided to axe the 12" min. I like the simple rules of measure/pic. Because it is what I would do anyway if (big if) I caught a fish. Seems to be my luck lately last few trips been skunked Not even a snakehead.
  9. Been taking part in the FL Bragging rights thread for the last two months, thought I'd post up the the intro thread and let everyone know a little more about me. I used to be an avid bass fisherman when I was in high school, 15 years ago, and just this past year have been bitten by the bug again. Bank fishing for now, trying to warm the wifey up to get a small fishing boat, so I can take my daughters out fishing with me. My girls are currently only using bread balls and bobbers for small panfish and catfish. Recently my older girl has been asking to try out fishing for the big one's like me. LOL So hopefully a future BR member. I try to get out at lest once a week even if only for an hour or two. I have found lots of great information and tips on the forum, and have talked to a bunch or really cool people throught the Bragging rights thread. I'd like to thank the site owners and moderators for providing such an enteraining and informative forum. Tight lines and rough thumbs everyone! See you around. Dustin
  10. Nice fish, no idea what it could weight, it's bigger than any bass I ever caught.
  11. I love the color scheme and the color of carpet, sweet boat!
  12. I'm in! Congrats to DEEPdish Panda on the win last month. Good luck to all this months participants!
  13. From a spectator's point of view, you did a good job handling the contests. No objections from myself. Maybe next month I will actually get a fish to post. Thanks for taking your time to post up the running order in a timely manner each day. It made watching the competion from the sidelines enjoyable.
  14. Oh man, that sucks, least you were catching fish. Managed to get out a little on saturday, skunked again.
  15. nice fish tightlines, i managed to get out for about 2 1/2 hrs on tuedays and 4 hrs on wed. skunked both days, had one bite. nothing else to talk about. was fishing at the west end of c-14 and you could have rode the current coming out of the culvert on a surf board lol.
  16. Geez I cant even get on the board this month, doesn't help im holed up in the living room playing GTA V LOL
  17. Nice fish! Did you weight/measure it?
  18. Thats good stuff, been taking my nine year old daughter out and she recently made the switch from bread balls and brim to t-rigs and bass. still looking for her first!
  19. What is this PP you speak of? I have been using spiderwire (i think) braid and it's fraying really bad, not been happy with it. Would be interested in checking out another type of braid or even flouro.
  20. Man I can't catch a break, I have either only been catching snakeheads... Im still at 0 as well. I went out last sunday off University and Southgate Blvd, casting toward a bridge column, see a bass jump like a foot and a half out of the water and completely miss my spook. LOL Just been the luck I am having lately.
  21. Went out saturday evening with my daughter, trying to teach her bass fishing instead of bread balls, we got skunked! Went out on sunday from about 6am-10am and got skunked again, a couple misses. Tried everything from frogs, t-rig senkos, jerk baits, and super spook jr. What a bummer to get up earlier than I usually do for work on my only day off this week to get skunked. Oh well Dolphins won so there is a silver lining! LOL
  22. Circling the drain was friggin' awesome BassinLou Nice fish being posted up already. Good catches guys. Nothing worth posting yet. Largest so far around 15" but I had gut hooked him and wanted to get him back in the water. And than the Parkland/BSO cops showed up. Took my picture like the paparazzi and told me to pound salt. There wasn't any signs anywhere. OH WELL. I'll keep plugging away at it though!
  23. ^ Agreed... I have had some luck on days like this with a clear super spook jr and i picked up some pad crahser jr's that i cant wait to try out on a nice calm morning
  24. I have been thinking about upping the braid on my rod/reel. I had hooked into something real descent the other day. Line did not snap but the #10 braid must be so thin it pulled out of the little gap in the eye of the hook. 1st time this has ever happened to me. I reeled in the line my frog was still on, the beads were there, and the knot was still tied (no breaks) but the hook and fish was gone. So I either have to step up to a larger diameter line or start using swivels or something like that.
  25. I am in for this month. Went out on sat, only managed to catch two, maybe 10-12 inches, on a whacky rigged senko type worm. not worth a pic or a tape measure. hope to get something post worthy.
