  1. Always been a black mister twister 3" curly tail grub. BUT, chartruese salt and peper 4" Kalin's Lunkers are quicky becoming my most used.
  2. I went with the pad crasher bullfrog and a few hours after i placed my order the mail came, and from a similar service i got a reaction strike revolution frog havent used it yet though.
  3. Booyah Pad Crasher seems to be the way to go. I'm gonna try others as well at some point. And as for the search thing, like i said i have read others but most were about specific types. I'm asking about any type. And sometimes things change, in a old thread a new lure might have come out that is what everyone else is using. It is just easier to post my own thread read the others and see if anything has changed.
  4. Yea, there is a ton of the grubs, but i am looking for the Fat ones, like the Kalin's Lunker or the Fat Albert.
  5. These have always been my favorite thing to fish with. Always been a big fan of Mister Twister. Trying to branch out and try new things. Right now i have been using Kalin's Salty Lunkers and i really like them. Any other fat grubs? I know the fat albert but from all i've seen they only make a 3" i prefer 4+. Also, was wondering if anybody knows some weedless jigheads that have tons of colors. I have found a few, most are black, dark green and a few other random colors.
  6. I did look at other threads. But the thing is other threads are on hollow body or different types... im saying favorite overall and booyah is what i was thinking but i wasn't sure. Gonna check them all out tho.

    Frogs

I know there is tons of threads about frogs. But I am just wondering what your favorite frogs are. I don't have a preference on type. I just wanna get a good frog lure because I have been fishing in an area with frogs near the pond.
  8. Until this year, i had always fished 3" Mister Twister curly tail grubs. Always loved them. Still my favorite but been branching out this year.
  9. Well i got a whole new problem now. I shoulda just stuck with my ugly stck and shakespeare reel. I had a small X of line that wasn't on the spool it was on the reel. I got it out easy but when i was putting the pole back together and getting it all set up. The bail flipped and this reel, reels so easy it started goin without me even touching it and my line is all messed up i got line coming out the bottom of the reel. So, is this fixable? Should i just start cuttin line get it all out and keep what flouro i can for leaders and buy braided? Really frustrated with this.
  10. I was recommended this because where i have been fishing has all had a lot of vegetation.
  11. So basically, i got my spinning rod and reel and now i got my line. I went to put it on today and never put line one before. I got a 200yard spool of seagur abrazx and about half way through i got a huge knot in it while doing it. I had a little loop on the reel and went to get it out and needless to say it didn't end well. My question is, is this going to do anything? Is it going to give me problems now? What about when i get to it?
  12. NVM about 3 more seconds of searching answered my question. But, i do like these little ones with some storage in them like the bass tender.
  13. I have actually never either and thats part of why i wondered.
  14. Which one is going to make senkos last longer, or is there even a dfference? I feel like the saddle might but i have not tried either yet about to buy one or the other.
  15. So nobody really uses these anymore right? Seems like everyone just tries their own knot. Is the reason for this strength or so there isn't extra stuff with the lure? Just wondering, i am just getting into fishing this year really and i always remember just using snap swivels.
  16. Glad to hear it, i figured i paid like $36 for it and when i get my own car a 1 piece will fit and im not really out anything. I got them both today, the pro angler that i am, i am used to reels that come with line already on it so now i have to order/go get line.
  17. I went with the Pflueger President and Abu Garcia Vengeance 2 piece. I had to get a 2 piece because of the car but at i just got a cheaper rod for now because i will get a piece and better rod soon.
  18. Definitely, want to buy some of those flick sticks.
  19. Thats funny, because i almost bought all 3 of the different ones and was gonna sort them out but i don't really use flukes much really just wanted a ton of grubs and stick baits... just ordered the gamefish for now will see.
  20. I like to use soft plastics, from everything i've read/watched i think flouro or braided is what i want. I think flouro will be better for me, but asking to make sure im not wrong. Where i have been fishing normally does have a lot of plants/vegetation. And if i should be using flourocarbon what are some good brands? I know with braided seems like everyone either uses Power Pro or Sufix 832.
  21. Anybody ever get these? Or use gander mountain branded soft plastics? Thinking about ordering some, just wanted to know if anyone has used before.
  22. Looking for different types of senkos, i have been looking around and there are some i see a lot but i am looking for different ones to try. I want to try ones with unique colors, scents, or anything different. I want the usually senko look though. Even if they have nothing different, but you just like them better then Yamamoto let me know.
  23. For me just cheap stuff nothing expensive, but i had kinda a funny story that goes along with it. My dad has always loved the white mepps aglia spinner and he went to DSG and they only had one so he got it. We went fishing in little river by where we live and he brought it and a black one that was kinda old just incase he started fishing and it got snagged on anything he didn't see he said. So he casts a few times with the older one and then switchs to the white one. First cast snagged a tree root in the river.
  24. Yea, a normal backpack would probably work, but the one at BPS that is only $29.99 is more set up for fishing and is pretty much what i'd pay for a backpack. and they also have the 4 packs of plano 3600 trays for $9.97 each. and it says i can fit 10 in there, i don't think i need close to that, especially right now when i am just getting into fishign but it is a lot more storage and easier to use then the tackle box i paid $17 for that is a 3 tray plano.
  25. Yea i did see those, seems a bit pricey it would have to be something pretty special for me to spend that much. The one at BPS for $29.99 seems like eveything i need, but i always want more so im still looking.
