  1. That's exactly what I was looking for, thanks again.
  2. Alrights thanks for the help. I have one more question, like flyfisher said about the # test he uses for cranking. What would you guys recommend for cranking? I'm trying to get my cranking rod set up.
  3. Yeah all I use is power pro. I have 25 40 and 65. You think 65 is to much for any application?
  4. I like the XCalibur XR50 or 75 foxy shad or Rapala Rippin Rap Lipless.
  5. I use a soft sided tackle box. It comes with a strap that you can carry over your shoulder, has tons of pockets and the main zip part can fit 4 big plano boxes(not sure what size).
  6. I haven't been using braid for that long so I wanted to know what the actual breaking strength of braid is. Is it the # braid or the diameter or is it stronger than what its rated? If this question has already been answered please give me a link, I have been through 10 pages of this forum topic and haven't seen it asked. Thanks again.
  7. That's great Frank, which series *** are you getting? Let me know which one feels better, more sensitive, more backbone.
  8. Welcome Lenny, I'm new to this forum as well. Nice to meet you.
  9. Welcome. Ohioan here as well East Columbus.
  10. Welcome aboard. You will learn a lot here from the articles and friendly members.
  11. Welcome Zach! You will enjoy it here.
  12. Welcome man. I'm new too but have been asking a lot of questions.
  13. I'm new as well, Welcome!
  14. Yeah I like my Veritas but when I get my next set up I will probably try out the omens or lews.
  15. For the same price(around $100) which rods do you like the most? Anyone tried the Omens, Carbonlites, St. Croix, Lews, Kistler?
  16. nice view man, seems like you caught some nice fish up there.
  17. Anyone near hoover dam or buckeye lake?
  18. Some stuff i picked up a few weeks ago. New Revo S reel. Veritas rod. Some crankbaits.
  19. Can't go wrong with any Revo. I like low profile baitcatsers and I love my Revo S.
  20. I use the Palomar and improved clinch and haven't had any knots break on me. I guess improved clinch knots aren't designed for braided line but just moisten the knot and pull the tag end first and then pull the main line then give the main line a good tug to see if it holds and check for slipping. Also while your out fishing check the knots frequently.
  21. That is very true I never thought about it but I guess since they are so popular they do have to make a ton of them. Thanks for bringing that up.
  22. Yeah I love the sensitivity and how light it is, its perfect with my revo s baitcaster reel. Like you said frank I have banged it a couple of times on my ceiling but nothing wrong with it. At least I have a two year warranty on all of my equipment so even if I break it they will replace it.
  23. I have been using mine for about two weeks and haven't had any issues but I have been seeing a lot of people complaining about them breaking a lot. So I wanted to know if anyone else that has recently used these have had a problem or is it just a problem with the older versions?
  24. Well I just bought some #50 braid and #15 mono. I have another baitcaster and I will throw the 50 on one and 20 on another and see which one feels right.
