  2. Ya. I'm hooked. But man does it grab a lot of weeds. All part of the fun I guess.

  8. I've read many times about leaving a hook in a fishes mouth will be ok etc.. That will spit it out shake it out or it will dissolve. Now, I've been thinking about what damage a rubber bait may do to the bass? Many times I've caught bass and they have been hooked deep or even just a lipper and my rubber worm is gone.. So either they inhaled it or it got ripped off. I'm betting they swallowed it .. Does it do damage the fish ? I'm pretty sure the rubber worm will be inside them for quite some time no? If so do you think it affects their eating habits .? Thoughts?
  9. Going to be in that town 3rd week of June . Helping a family member move down there from Connecticut. Want to hit some good bass ponds, lakes etc. will have my kayak with me.. Thanks in advanced.....
  10. 5" Senko in baby bass color. That my confidence ....
  11. Hit a nice lake with a ton of weeds and lily pads. Me and my buddy out in the canoe. All we caught was pickerel and one tiny bass. We couldn't believe how many we were catching. But we're stumped why no bass. We were using senkos and flippin hogs . And to top it off I caught a good size pickerel on my top water popper frog in the Lilly's . My first ever fish with my frog. I didn't think a pickerel would it the frog? I got a ton of misses with the frog too.. All in all an awesome day, Just don't understand why the bass weren't biting? Thoughts? A personal best day of catching for both of us....
  12. Yes I released it... As soon as I did I said I should have kept it. But hey. Next time.
  13. In Maine for a wedding and bagged this tank yesterday morning on a baby bass green Senko
  14. I wanna start direct tying everything .. I direct tie hooks obviously. I use snaps for lures, spinners etc.. I want to see what you use if you are changing baits a lot etc. thanks
  15. Ahhhh. You may be on to something here.
  16. I've had great luck with my dark green braided, I was just thinking about this today when I saw braided in white I thought white might disappear pretty good?
  17. Just wondering your thoughts on line color. I always use braided line in moss green color but have one rod with yellow. I've seen red , all shades of green and white. Does it really matter?
  18. Thanks guys, ill try this..
  19. Every time i try to fish lily's or thick grass no matter what i try by worm ,rig etc gets covered or stuck with weeds or grass or it pulls the lilly's up etc. What is the trick to this? If i use a weighted worm 9 times out of 10 its covered with the grass etc, dont think the fish even get to see it. If i use a drop rig yes the weight sinks to the bottom but while the worm or bait i use attached gets covered on the way to the bottom im thinking. What am i doing wrong?
  20. Really , does it make a difference ? Yes they may look a bit more pretty but, do you think the fish can tell? Are they like screw this guy he looks like 5 bucks Then like whoa. Now that's a fine lookin 12 dollar Rapala. Serious though, is there. Difference ?.
  21. i Wasnt a fan of them fishing from shore, But as soon as i got a kayak, game changer way better dont think ill ever fish from shore again, haa.
  22. For the past month all i;ve been fishing with is rubber worms. Have nothing but good luck with them From trolling from the kayak and whippin to the shore always seem to bag a few Doesnt even seem to matter what color, From orange to watermellon even blue and purple Just seems like lures arent any fun anymore Anyone else feel this way
  23. Lets see some of your gear bags, storage idea's or your own tricks and tips. I fish from shore ( fresh water ) 99% of the time. I use a back pack since i do alot of walking into where i fish. Use Plano storage for my tackle and im sick of all the hooks and lures getting tangled. How do you store your gear? How much stuff do you carry? Lets see some pics of your bags / storage etc. I carry 3 full Plano cases of lures etc. 2-3 fishing poles Big Zip lock bag full of rubber worms etc. First aid kit rain coat flashlight food / water
