  1. I use one similar to that hook remover. It is all about what you prefer. I usually use it when the hook is a little deeper in the fish's mouth, I've found it to be better than pliers in some situations, but sometimes pliers are better suited. I carry both and use whichever will be best for the job!
  2. I just got into fishing over the summer so I don't know the spawning patterns very well. In South Florida are we in the post spawn stage?
  3. Wow, what a fish! What have you guys in the south florida area been using? I've been coming up empty a lot the last couple of weeks (seems like the bite really shut down!) Only thing that's caught me fish in my canal is a jig.
  4. Just caught my PR! Canal in my backyard in Wellington throwing a 7/16 oz black/blue/purple skirted jig with a Big Bite Baits silver 4 inch craw. Came in at about 7 lbs.
  5. Good to know! Thanks!
  6. Washing hands with head and shoulders does wonders! I think it takes the fish oil off your hand, like it takes the oil off of hair.
  7. Hey guys, So I'm renting a boat out of Clewiston on monday. Where are the spots that are "must-go's"? What are the best baits to use? I appreciate any and all help! Thanks guys!
  8. Top water frogs have been working good. I've used the Boo-yah small frog and large popper frog. both work great

  10. Where do you guys fish in Lox?
  11. I'm looking to find a lake, or any body of freshwater that is good for bass fishing in/near WPB. Ive been fishing Wellington canals with no luck and need to find a new spot! Anyone know any good spots? I'd really appreciate it!
  12. Hi, Im new to the forums, and honestly am pretty new to fishing. I just bought a new reel last week(Abu Garcia Black Max.) When i first used the reel the magnetic braking system would click as i adjusted it, but now it just smoothly turns into position. The brakes are still being adjusted correctly. Just wanted to know if this is normal, and if its not how do i go about fixing this. Thanks in advance for the info and help!
