    Try pulling pretty hard on each side of the knot to see if it will pop untied. Sometimes those turn out to be loops style knots that can easily be pulled out.

    I would go for the tatula because I don't like micro guides at all. I have not had enough time using the duckett to really give an opinion, but it was so ugly that I almost vomited.
    The tatula is a sleek rod with a nice crisp feel to it. The blank is not the most sensitive I have used, and it does run a bit heavier and faster than it is rated. The ergonomics are great though. The reel seat is very comfortable, and the balance is great. One of the guides is just slightly off to the side on my tatula rod, but it took me a few weeks to notice that since it is off by just a few degrees.
