I’m well stocked up on baits, etc. That being said, I have two pending orders with TW that are being “Processed”. I find the extended wait times for shipping to be a bit ridiculous. I’ve ordered tackle from other retailers and have had items shipped much faster than TW is shipping lately. I think they need to take a look at their processes and address where they are falling short! And yes, I have called and told them my thoughts on the matter!

If I remember correctly the owner of Zoom passed away a year or two ago. Maybe there is some validity to the rumor? That being said I haven’t been able to find any information to that effect. Hopefully not true!

1/2oz. Chatterbaits sail pretty good in windy conditions. As mentioned above lipless cranks work well too.

I bought a couple of packs of the XPS to try out. I've had no issue with them. One thing that I did notice is the barb is a little more aggressive than the name brand stuff, thus making it a little more difficult to unhook the fish. Outside of that they’ve been good. I normally use Gammy's or Trokar's.

I have three that I love. Rage Bug D-Bomb Craw Fatty I keep a healthy stock of these on hand at all times!

Got two tonight. Only fished for about 2 hours. They wouldn’t touch any moving baits. Got these two on a Texas rigged #RageBug. One was 2.75lbs. and the other 2.80lbs. #StrikeKing

Wheeler got it done! I was rooting for Bobby Lane to land one more!! I watched a lot of the live on this one and enjoyed the coverage. Travis is a different type of lake than what we usually see so it was interesting to see how they were catching them. On a side note I got quite a laugh out of Dudley using the crank bait to eat his avocado yesterday!

I don’t see any reason that us fellow anglers here at BR can’t show this man some support for what he’s trying to do!

FWIW, I fish mine on a 7.2:1. It seems to work well.

Great reel. It's currently on sale for $79. Other reels in this price range worth buying are: Lew's LFS Speed Spool Shimano SLX Bass Pro also puts their Carbonlite 2.0 reels on sale for $99, several times a year. You can’t go wrong with any of these. Actually that’s not true. There are a good number of $100 reels out there that are very good reels and will give someone many good years of service. I just retired 4 Lews LFS Speed Spools which I used for a solid 6 years fishing. Keep them cleaned and oiled and you’re good to go! There's nothing wrong with fishing within a budget or being frugal.

Had another nice afternoon. 12 bass total in 4 1/2 hours of fishing. The jackhammer with a Ragecraw trailer was hot starting out. When that bite went away, a Texas rigged Ragebug was the ticket. Had two over 3lbs. today. The largest was 3.7lbs. I tried some topwater baits today as the bass were schooling quite a bit but didn’t have any hits on those. Despite the schooling bass I think it nay be a bit early up here for a topwater bite.

We’ve had very similar weather here in SE Michigan. My best baits so far have been chatterbaits and spinnerbaits. I’ve also caught a few on Texas rigged creature baits.
