  1. Sounds like a great day all around!
  2. Awesome, thanks guys. I had the feeling I was headed into overkill land.
  3. I'm not much of a floro user but want to put it on one of my reels to use more often. I have a Symetre 2500 on a 7' Med action rod. Is 10# Floro overkill? I'll be using it for river fishing medium size baits for smallies and in the lake for fishing Super Flukes, etc. for LM. Traditionally I normally use 8 or 10lb. Trilene XT on these set ups.
  4. I run Power Pro 50# braid on my froggin rod. It's always worked great for me.
  5. Hang in there man!
  6. Terminator T-1 spinnerbait, Chart/Blue/White no trailer. 3/8 oz. size.
  7. Given the competition the internet presents, you're going to be the most successful in giving great customer service, hiring people who have the same level of passion and knowledge as you, and have the best selection for your area. It won't be easy, but with hard work and dedication you can make it work. I wish you much luck.
  8. Look at the T-Turn by Thundermist lures. This would be a great application for that swivel. The T-Turn will help eliminate line twisting around the other drop. Edit: I see OntarioFishingGuy had the same suggestion. Great minds think alike!
  9. 1/4oz.
  10. LOL!
  11. So who has tried them? Are you buying into the hype?
  12. Some people use anise oil. That's pretty easy to find too.
  13. That's quite a haul! Do you have a sister that's available!!? LOL!
  14. Thank you so much for the feedback! I've got a lot of baits to look into and a nice variety of ways to fish them!
  15. I've been using the Booya Pad Crasher in Swamp Frog and Leopard Frog and the KVD Sexy Frog in Spring Frog. The Pad Crashers have been out fishing the KVD frog by a large margin. I have other frogs as well but, since buying the Pad Crashers they're getting the most water time.
  16. Cool looking lure. Nice find!
  17. I went back this afternoon and they definitely have the Diawa D on them. The guy I talked to last night wasn't there but the guy I talked to tonight confirmed they're made by Diawa. I had to go back and double check! I only live less than 10 minutes away so it was no big deal. I don't own one yet but my initial opinion is they seem like pretty solid reels.
  18. I use a Lightning Rod Shock 7' MH action. I've got it paired up with a Shimano Citica.
  19. I too would definitely recommend spooling it with mono first. I even go with 14lb. because it'll be a little easier to cast than the 12lb.
  20. I happened to be in Cabela's tonight looking at the Zx and the Prodigy. The sales guy said they were made by Pflueger.
