  1. Booyah or KVD!
  2. Congrats on your new place! I use to fish Lake Fork quite a bit. Post spawn and through out summer look for deeper structure, such as submerged creek beds, old roads, old farm ponds. One of my favorite spots was where a old creek bed ran into an old farm pond. The bass would stack up in that creek bed near where it intersected the pond. Also be on the look out for schooling bass and always have a rattle trap ready to go. Carolina rigs or jigging those large spoons are good for fishing deep water. Don't overlook the bream fishing on that lake either.
  3. Zara Spook. I used to fish one almost every time out. I don't think that I have tied one on in 15 years now.
  4. You in the Jack Squat category just aren't trying hard enough!
  5. Shimano Symetre 2500. I've been fishing with them for years.
  6. Worst spool ever! I HATE it!! #FAIL
  7. Where is this site from?
  8. Tie directly with an improved Trilene knot.
  9. I use Gama hooks all of the time and have no issues hooking fish with them. Which model hook are you using?
  10. Great info guys! Thank you!
  11. Thanks for that info. I was just trying to find the hook sizes. :-)
  12. I've got some older baits that I want to replace the hooks on. Some Pop R's, Redfins, and various crank baits. Is there any real advantage to going with a EWG hook? If I go with EWG hooks will there be a chance that they will change the action of the bait? I obviously want to avoid that. I plan on going with Gamakatsu hooks.
  13. That's crazy! Thanks for posting that.
  14. Over the years I've learned to keep it simple. The colors in my original post are what I have with me 99% of the time.
  15. I'm a big spinnerbait guy. I have a box of them to choose from, my go to spinnerbait is the 3/8oz Terminator T1. IMO it's the best spinnerbait made. I typically throw the double willow leaf model. I have a variety of colors so depending on the water clarity, cover and sun conditions on that day, I typically like to throw the emerald shiner, sunfish or the Hot olive. I also like to buy a blue, white and chartreuse color Terminator brand skirt and replace the hot olive skirt. The b,w,c combo has always been a fish catcher for me, especially with the gold and silver willow leaf blades. If I'm in big fish waters, I'll step up to a half ounce model.
  16. Man, tough crowd in this thread. Why give the OP such a hard time?
  17. Mann's Augertail Worm
  18. I use a lightning rod medium action with 12lb. Trilene XT for my cranks. If I'm fishing heavier cover I'll step up to 14lb. XT. This setup works well for me.
  19. I read those colors and instantly thought "old school", especially the Motor Oil. I can remember when I had those basic four colors with me every time I hit the water.
  20. Green pumpkin, PB&J, Electric Grape, White Ice (for Flukes).
