  1. Well that's a real pain in the butt!
  2. Monster smallie!
  3. I've been using a Shock for my froggin' Rod. I've been very happy with it. I have a Lew's Speed Spool w/ 65lb. Braid on it. I love to throw a frog and have caught many fish on that combo. Never had any problems with the Shock.
  4. I use a simple 4/0 or 5/0 offset round bend worm hook. Gammy's are my hook of choice. I'll use the 5/0 if I want the fluke to gently sink a little more. With the hook slot in the bottom of the fluke there's no need to use an EWG hook.
  5. Edwin Evers uses BPS Pro Qualifier casting and spinning reels. He seems to do just fine with a $99 reel.
  6. Here's a nice combo that fits your criteria. http://t.basspro.com/Bass-Pro-Shops-Tourney-Special-Rod-and-Reel-Baitcast-Combo/product/1412040301398/
  7. If I told you I'd have to kill you......all of you! ;-)
  8. Nice paint job. What makes the originals so special that they fetch $120+ on the bay?
  9. Very cool opportunity! Congrats!
  10. Nice!
  11. Now that's a great day!
  12. Nice fish!
  13. I bought one today and took it out for a few hours this afternoon. I normally fish Lew's Speed Spools. I have three of them. The Pro Qualifier is a bit heavier than my Lew's but, not to the point that it makes a big difference. The PQ casts as well as the SS. It's very easy to adjust and get dialed in. First impression from tonight is, the PQ is a quality reel, well built and on par with the Lew's. I put the PQ on my 7' M Mojo Bass Rod.
  14. I use copolymer almost exclusively on my spinning rods and have no problem what so ever with getting good hook sets with minimal effort!
  15. Where are you seeing it for that price?
  16. Way too much work and way to much of a time waster. Pictures are your friend.
  17. Nice!
  18. Looks great! They obviously work!
  19. Nice bass! Congrats!
  20. Even though he's just 3, he'll remember that for a long time!
  21. Cool ad. I owned several of those reels. Those were excellent reels. I still remember a good fishing buddy of mine and I would always go back and forth on which reel was better. He was a die hard ambassador guy and I fished Lew's and the Ryobi's that were similar to the Lew's.
  22. That's a darned nice looking reel!
  23. How can you tell when a shad spawn is going on?
