  1. Show's how much those pros know! Thanks for the info about Ann's Tackle.
  2. That's great and all but, I don't see that worm listed on their web site. Do they still make it?
  3. Ah, gotcha! I figured it was that. ?
  4. 4 States: Michigan, Ohio, Texas, Arkansas 2 Countries: US, Canada 1 Province: Ontario Zoom Power Worm??
  5. 7" Berkley Power Worm
  6. The Raisin River can be iffy at times but, that depends on where you put in and of course how the rainfall has been. From Dundee through Monroe it can get pretty shallow at points but you can find some decent spots for smallies, some small pike and catfish. The Huron River is good for kayaking and there is good fishing to be had all through it. There are a couple of areas of the Huron that are classified as Blue Ribbon Smallmouth areas, which are catch and release only.
  7. Managed to catch a couple even though the weather was pretty crappy. High winds and rain on and off. Got in about 2 hours of fishing before the lightning started. Both fish came on a Zoom Horny Toad in white. Missed a couple that bit off the very ends of the flapper legs.
  8. Well that sucks.
  9. I'm carrying most of my stuff. But, my fishing spots are generally within sight of my vehicle so no worries. If I'm in for a hike I just gear down and take all of my stuff with me.
  10. I love the Zoom Super Salty Fluke! Main colors, white pearl, white ice, watermelon, baby bass! They're durable and work great! I only use these. They just flat out catch fish for me!
  11. Typically a Gammy 4/0 EWG, occasionally a 3/0.
  12. One of my river "go to's" is a simple jig and grub. Some days it just can't be beat. I also always hit the river with some small to medium sized original Rapalas and small Husky Jerks. The small Rebel Craw crank baits work very well too. Orig. Rapala - http://www.***.com/Rapala_Original_Floater/descpage-ROF.html Husky Jerk - http://www.***.com/Rapala_Husky_Jerk_Jerkbait/descpage-RHJJB.html Rebel Craw - http://www.***.com/Rebel_Wee_Craw/descpage-RBLWC.html The small Rebel Pop R is another good one when the top water bite is on. http://www.***.com/Rebel_Pop-R_Topwater_Popper/descpage-RPR.html
  13. Generally I have 4 baitcasting and 2 spinning outfits in the truck with me. I generally take a max of three rods to the bank. The rest stay in the truck. I have one of the green tackle bags from Cabela's which holds 6 - 3600 boxes and a smaller Plano 3600 soft side bag which holds 3 - 3600 boxes in the truck. Depending on what I need for where I am fishing I'll generally carry the Cabela's bag. If I am looking at a substantial walk to my fishing spot I'll gear down and carry the Plano bag. I like to be prepared for whatever situation that I am fishing.
  14. You lucky S.O.B. Looking forward to your write up.
  15. Man, that's brutal! Thanks for the info.
  16. I'm seeing KVD on the leaderboard with a 0 for day 1. The BASS site is showing he had a limit for today but has not weighed in yet. Does anyone know what happened there on day 1?
  17. I have 4 LFS reels and love them! They have been totally reliable.
  18. I fished this bait for a couple of days last weekend. I ended up settling on a 4/0 EWG Gammy. The 5/0 looked like a beast on it and the 3/0 just looked a tad small to me. The 4/0 seemed to hit the sweet spot with this particular bait.
  19. I agree very nice patterns. Those are some expensive jigs though!
  20. I refuse to answer on the grounds that I may incriminate myself!
  21. Awesome!
  22. Care to expand on that? You've got me interested.
  23. Plastics - Berkley, Strike King, Zoom, Missile Baits Hard Baits - Rapala, Rebel, Strike King Spinner baits - Terminator, War Eagle
