  1. The Lew's LFS Speed Spool for $99 is a great reel. I have 3 of them and haven't had an issue. I also have the BPS Pro Qualifier which is a nice reel as well for $99.
  2. I'm not saying this just because they sponsor this site, but Siebert Jigs are great. I was never much of a jig fisherman and bought some Siebert jigs to try out and I have to say they work great! Their customer service is top notch too!
  3. LOL....thanks!
  4. I can't stand fishing with fluorocarbon line! I've tried it on two of my go to setups (baitcasting and spinning) the past two seasons and ended up cutting it off and going back to my tried and true Trilene XT! If I feel that I need to use floro I just tie a leader onto one of my setups that has braid on it. Am I missing something?
  5. In the immortal words of Bill Dance, "Don't do that!" Gald you're thumb came out ok.
  6. Is anyone in S.E. Mich fishing Kensington yet? If so, any bass?
  7. Those Plano Guide Series bags are nice bags. The only thing that I don't care for on them is they don't have an actual, handle on the bag to carry it with, just a shoulder strap. I went with one of these in the large size. These have both a handle and an optional shoulder strap. I have 1 season of use out of it and it's held up great so far.
  8. Rage craw, Paca Craw, and Berkley Chigger Craw.
  9. These pre-rigged worms have been around for a long time. You can still find them in just about any tackle store here is Mich. And they still work. I personally havent used used one in many years but, I still see them around.
  10. These are my favorites: Rage Tail Craw (Summer Craw or Black w/ Blue Flake) Rage Tail Menace Grub (Summer Craw, White or Black w/ Blue Flake) Missile Baits D-Bomb (Green Pumpkin or Bruiser Flash) Berkley Power Worm 7" (Electric Grape or Green Pumpkin) Berkley Power Bait Chigger Craw (Green Pumpkin) Reaction Innovations Skinny Dipper (Sexy Shad) Keitech Swing Impact Fat 3.8" and 4.3" (Electric Shad) Zoom Horny Toad (White) Zoom Super Fluke (Pearl or White Ice) 5" Senko (Green Pumpkin, Red Shad, Green Pumpkin w/ Chartreuse tip) I'll always have these baits with me anywhere I fish.
  11. OUCH! That's rough but I have to think they will cut him some slack for that. Of course, he'll get a lot of ribbing about it for a long time!
  12. LOL....I'd do it for free too. As long as they don't mind me cheering when he caught a fish!
  13. I watched the weigh in all three days and quite a bit of the live stuff. Pretty exciting Classic! I have to admit that I was really pulling for Steve Kennedy on the final day. I've always liked that guy. With that being said, Jordan Lee did one hell of a job on day 3 to win it! Pretty incredible bag of fish, especially when you consider the issues with his boat. For him to stay composed and keep catching fish was pretty impressive. I'm an Ike fan but, I have to say, he definitely had some cringe worthy moments in this tourney. Hopefully he takes a look at that or someone on his team points it out and he addresses it! Back to Steve Kennedy, I also noticed how BASS kind of swept him away after his weigh in. That was not cool! I thought the weigh in being at the ball park was a cool thing. The crowds looked to be quite large and there definitely was an excitement in the air. I've never been to any of the tournaments but, now I'm going to go out and attend the St. Claire tourney and am scheduling some vacation time to go to next years Classic. Re: camera men not being with Kennedy or Lee, that question came up on Twitter I believe, and BASS responded saying that they only had 6 cameramen so they couldn't cover those two. That's what I read.
  14. Owner or Moaner keel weighted hooks.
  15. Nice looking baits!
  16. From the rubber worm company! Where else?
  17. Just placed my order! Thanks Mike!
  18. Maybe don't bother reading the post if it bothers you so much that people ask questions! Especially new people. After all, it is a forum where people come to ASK QUESTIONS!
  19. Bullfrog, Cricket frog, Leopard frog, Swamp frog would be my suggestions.
  20. I find that the Booyah Pad Crasher is hard to beat. I've bought a lot of different brands but always end up with the Pad Crasher. For toads, I get consistently good results with the Zoom Horny Toad in white.
  21. I bought one of each size and so far I'm not impressed! My Booya, Spro, KVD, and hell even the cheap Matzuo frogs have out fished them so far. i was really looking forward to this being an awesome bait too!
