  2. What's y'all's take on fishing from bank or boat? For me, a 6 hour fishing trip on the bank will bring me dozens of perch and if I'm "lucky" 1 or 2 smallmouth! I do not have a boat but those who do would you say almost a better chance of catching those largemouths!? But being a 17 year old I don't really have the capability of purchasing a boat so it will stay bank for me! Where would a bass worthy spot be located?? As far as vegetation, weather, condition of water and what not. Haha And don't hesitate to leave some tips and tricks on how you bag those lunkers! Thanks guys, tight lines. -Steven

  6. So I was walking around in this wooded area(land owner unknown) behind my house in the city, well there is a little body of water! My guess is it is just formed by rain? It's about half a football field size, and it's really a strange spot for water! Well anyways after walking around all the fallen trees and what not I see the water and I follow it. Well half way down I see a boat!? Decent size boat, no motor and bad condition!? Again this little body of water isn't something you would take a boat on and there is no possible way to get a vehicle down to it, I could not see if there where tags on it! I don't think a storm landed it there due to all the trees and cover!? My guess is somebody is walking it over there, but what is the need for that? A lot of days have passed since I last went out there, well where I live we had a tornado hit town but our side of town did not! Well after that happened I looked back there and it's clear that just the winds and storms caused some havoc over there! Well later I went down there, and I remind you this is probably 6-10 months later, the place looks rearranged not a thing looks familiar! I found the water and followed it down, and there the boat sat in its same spot! The only difference was the front end was slightly further down into the water, I think due to earlier rain! Well I still could not see tags from where I stood! I'm really wanting a boat and this one seems almost abandoned!? How do/can I approach this? I would be willing to take it in and fix it up and pay for necessary boat requirements! Thanks for the help!
  7. Thanks guys!
  8. I was setting up some "ready to use" leader line rigs and on my reels that I have your regular clear line I was wanting to know if I could use low vis green line for my leader line? The spot I fish is merky and both types of line seem to catch! I just didn't know if that transition(clear line+swivel+low vis green line) would throw them off!? Thank you for the help!

  10. This will help a lot! And how do people "get to know their fishing spot" like if the bottom has a bunch of foliage or branches and where to cast? And can you only flip and pitch on a bait caster?
  11. Iv just started bass fishing and after watching videos I have noticed a lot of people use bait caster reels! My current gear is a Shakespeare tiger 7" and here are the specifications Shakespeare 7 foot 2-piece medium action Tiger spinning rod Stainless Steel guides with aluminum oxide inserts Graphite reel seats with stainless steel hoods Includes Shakespeare Tiger rod and spinning reel Ball bearing design Left/Right convertible retrieve Spooled with line My other rod and reel is a Shakespeare mantis spinning reel on a Shakespeare Durango rod If anyone could tell me if either of these are "bass fishing capable" and if you could recommend a good rod and baitcaster reel combo/or seperate for a decent price preferably something less than $50 at most $70! I just want to have the best gear possible in that price range for bass fishing! I really want to get into bass fishing so any and all help, tips, techniques, gear, etc would be greatly appreciated!
  12. Alright thank y'all for the help!
  13. Here recently iv been fishing with some "YUM 6" worm soft bait" and iv been getting big bites! Well I bought some F2 ferocity attractent spray, well it turns out it was craw dad scent! I was wondering can I still put it on my worm softbaits or will it cause some sort of a hesitation from the fish? Seeing a worm, smelling a craw dad!?
