  1. another vote for 7' MH. That'll cover alot.
  2. nbc sports show fishing from 11am-2pm everyday I think. Mix of salt / freshwater shows. The other channels are mainly hunting with a few fishing mixed in. Guess Espn doesnt have any fishing now.
  3. in the $100 range, the ***. Also take a look at the kistler carbon steel. I used 2 today and they fished well. Go on up the $140 range and look at the dobyn savvys.
  4. not spiral either, but next micro i get will be a kistler KLX to try. Only good things said about this line up. Dave
  5. lews makes a crankin reel. never used it, but the other model lews i've got have worked flawlessly. dave
  6. carbon steel 6'9" spiinerbait, 7' mh muti-techique , 7' mh worm.
  7. rods came yesterday. Nice clean look to the rods. Lightweight. Looks to be a good rod for $75. Maybe rain will stop one day so I can try them out on the water.
  8. yeah, hard to beat the *** for $100 spot. Also the dobyns savvy 734 would be a good choice for all around use. Dave
  9. thanks basseditor for a hands on opinion. I'll have 3 carbon steels tomorrow to try out and report back on. Dave
  10. lews speed spools are good for the money, can be found for ~$60 on the auction site.
  11. got a couple to try, worse that can happen is they'll be catfish rods. Or a rod to give fishing partner instead of the good ones Dave
  12. no wonder theres nothing in the search about these rods. seem everyone avoids them. Dave
  13. Wondering how these rods stack up. Anyone compared them to the omens, bucoos or even a savvy? Searched several forums and not much about them, good or bad. thanks Dave
