Jellyman, I live in Ponte Vedra Beach, west of Jacksonville about 10 miles. When I first moved here, I was in Ocala. I had a small boat and hit all the lakes in Osceola State park. Wildcat lake has monster bass, catch and release only though. If you don't have a boat/kayak it's tough, other than retention ponds. Take your rod and pull off at some of the highway ponds, amazing what you can catch. Good fishing to ya!

Well hello, I've been recently fishing more saltwater than bassin. I horribly miss it, and decided to start looking for some tourneys again that I can fish as a non-boater. I've had boats, but sold them. I've actually been a bassaholic for about 15 years. I lived in Indiana for most of my life, but moved to Florida about 7 years ago. In the first 2 years here, I caught 6 double digit bass, and really got even more addicted! I was fishing the xtreme bass trail with a boater for a couple of years, but he got out. I haven't tourney fished for a couple years now. Still fish ponds some, and take my kayak down to Tomoka River in Daytona area once in awhile. Yes almost every pond here in Florida has bass in them. I was a member of another site for many years, but haven't been on a fishing forum for 5plus years. Hope to find some food info here. My biggest problems for tourneys is always Saturday's. I'm a mailman, and I work every Saturday so I need to find Sunday tourneys.
