  1. I have a motorguide trolling motor that the steering cable has come off of the cable stud. mikesreelrepair.com/schematics/schematic.php?url=Motorguide/EF54.pdf Above is a picture of the parts breakdown, the cable stud is number 33. Basically the thin cable somehow is supposed to stay in the stud. The first time it came out I tried putting it back in and crimping it, this held about 2 trips. Is there any sort of trick getting it to stay in. Is the cable suppose to go entirely thru the stud? I got a better tool to crimp now, than the pliers I used the first time. I hope I can just get the cable into the stud after my first attempt distort the hole alittle. Anybody have any tricks? Thanks.
  2. I got a 12V motor, and 2 batteries. I'd like to use both batteries in parallel to give longer run time without having to mess with moving wires around. Now when it comes time to charge, will I have to remove the connections between the batteries? They aren't the same group of batteries, one is a 24 and one I believe is a 27 group. Thanks.
  3. img.***.com/promos/Shimano_coupon.pdf Is this the one you sent in? I just picked up at citica and curado, still waiting on the curado to get here.
  4. Hey, I'm still working on that fisher. Actually I haven't really started, d**n deer hunting season. Maybe this weekend.
  5. I've been mulling over the idea of getting a jon boat and have a few questions. 1. Will 2 50lb motors out-perform 1 80lb motor? 2. Battery life, I know that different motors go thru the different batterys at different lengths of time, but what would be the average range? 3. If I build a live well with pump and aerator, how much battery will that use? 4. For the bow mounted trolling motor, would the battery(s) be located up front? 5. If you could either go 48 wide or 54 wide on a 16' jon, which would you choose? 6. Charging the batteries, say you have 3 24V trolling motors, how do you go about charging all 6 batteries? 7. If you have 2 motors hanging off the back, is there anything special you have got to do to the motors. 8. When building up the platforms, is there any special padding to limit noise vibration? 9. Is there anything that I'm overlooking? Thanks
