Welcome, where are you at in Ohio?

Where do you fish the river in independence?

I work in north royalton and live in seven hills but I manage properties from wickliffe to twinsburg to wadsworth so I'm all over the place just about every day

I haven't caught anything other than some small blue gill so far this year. I'm going down to Florida on Friday for a week, hopefully I can do some fishing down there while my wife is shopping or laying at the beach. I might try to go somewhere after work one day this week, we'll see though. I'm starting to believe these fish don't exist!

Back from la due, no luck again...my wife and I were out there by 7 and ended up getting a boat this time. Started off with some surface lures didn't get anything at all. Put ourselves in a good spot, fish breaching water every 10 minutes or so and eventually switched to a 6" worm and didn't get anything. To add insult to injury, the guy fishing off the shore caught a 5lber right next to where I was casting... It seems like I'm doing something wrong, just not sure what...

We were at la due out by Ravenna/punderson down 422east...went there last weekend with my buddy and didn't catch anything but we found a new spot behind the boat house that's pretty good, lots of sea weed though. I'm gonna go to la due again tomorrow but early this time and see what I can get. A guy told me he had a 24" catfish night fishing last weekend. They had a bass tournament yesterday so there were a lot of boats out. Unfortunately I'm limited to the shore at the moment so I'm at a slight disadvantage. Let me know how your spot works out for you

Welcome! I'm new as well, trying to find some good spots. My wife and I went to la due this morning and couldn't catch anything worth bragging about, my wife caught some 2-4lb large mouth but I couldn't get anything. Any good spots in Ohio you would recommend? I'm 10mi south of Cleveland and willing to travel.

Tried again yesterday for about two hours...still nothing...

Went to La Due lake, which is quite large for Ohio standards and still couldn't catch anything fishing off the shore. Tried a couple different lures and a few different colored senko-type lures Texas and wacky. Always let the worms sink for 30sec and then sweeping 6-12" every 10sec or so. Not giving up though. As always, suggestions welcome. Thanks everyone

Hello all, I'm new to fishing and need some help, I figured this would be a good place to come! I used to fish a lot with my dad and brothers when we were young but have been away from it for a while(15-20yrs!). I feel like a lot has changed since we used to hook our worms and throw them in the water with a bobber! I've done some research and found some good tips online and asking some of the local bait shops and such but I'm still not catching anything. I went to Hinkley lake last weekend and fished for 5+ hours and didn't catch a single thing! Anyway, glad to be here and any and all suggestions are welcome! Looking for some good places to fish near cleveland, no boat so Erie is somewhat out unless anyone knows any good locations. Tim
