  1. I'm looking to purchase a setup to use for hollow body frogs. I am interested in the Lew's Super Duty reel but need a rod to pair this with, any recommendations? Also, any idea when the next time most retailers will offers sales/discounts like seen on Memorial Day?
  2. I just came across this reel and it was love at first sight. Can I get one of these in the states yet? If not, any idea when they should be available here?
  3. I will check out he Powell rods. What is the ideal use for the current Veritas/Chronarch setup at 7.0:1?
  4. What type of setup is ideal for throwing crankbaits and top water baits? I'm almost tempted to just order another two poles to cover it.
  5. As I mentioned in one or two of my other threads I'm pretty much new to bass fishing. I've done it before but I always used whatever rod/reel combo I had laying around, etc. I bought a Vertias rod (7', med. heavy) and a Chronarch 200E7 (7.0:1). Walmart has the Veritas Micros and Winch series rods for $72 so I'm wondering if I should pick up a second rod sooner than later since they are on sale and the price is as good as it is. If so what would be the ideal setup for the second rod based on either another Veritas or Winch series rod?
  6. How do I choose the correct weight for my setup?
  7. I'm looking for some line for a Veritas rod witha Chronarch 200 reel. Any reason not to use this braided line for this setup?
  8. I ordered it online, shipping it back would probably be $15+ so it is probably just cheaper to decide if I want to buy a 2nd rod.
  9. I just bought the exact rod yesterday from Bass Pro for $100. Do I really need two rods is now the question.
  10. Online only or do they carry them in store?
  11. Largemouth and I think I'm going to start out with spinners and buzz baits.
  12. I'm new to the bass fishing thing so bear with me. I just ordered a Chronarch 200E7 reel and Veritas rod and need to get some line for it. How do I choose the correct line or what would you recommend?
  13. A Ruger 10/22 is a staple for just about any gun owner. If you want something with a little more "bang" check out a Mosin Nagant, they can be had for around $100, ammo is cheap, and they are fun to shoot.
  14. I'm looking for some recommendations for baits, lures, etc. to fish in the Finger Lakes region of NY to target large mouth from the bank. I figured I'd ask for recommendations rather than just grabbing some random lure and throwing it in.
  15. What is the difference between the Chronarch 200 and 50?
  16. I'm "new" to bass fishing for the most part, I've never been much of a fisherman but being surrounded by lakes has fueled my pursuit of the sport. I'm looking for a "budget" rod/reel combo. The reviews for the *** *** casting rod seem good and I'm confident this is the rod I'm going to purchase. http://www.cabelas.com/product/13-Fishing-***-Black-Casting-Rods/1431749.uts?Ntk=AllProducts&searchPath=%2Fcatalog%2Fsearch.cmd%3Fform_state%3DsearchForm%26N%3D0%26fsch%3Dtrue%26Ntk%3DAllProducts%26Ntt%3Domen%26x%3D0%26y%3D0%26WTz_l%3DHeader%253BSearch-All%2BProducts&Ntt=***&WTz_l=Header%3BSearch-All+Products I need help choosing a reel now, I'd like to stay around $150 but would go up to $200 on it if needed. Recommendations?
