  1. I find as much if not more benefit with L&L on braid. It keeps the line from "feathering" as quickly and it just lasts a lot longer then without using L&L. I also find that wind knots and line bury rarely happen when braid is treated L&L.
  2. From the horses mouth. KVD did mention that he used silicone oil spray in his first book. The printing of the book was years before his development of Line & Lure. L&L came about because of fluorocarbon line. Silicone spray had (has) no appreciable benefit on Fluoro and KVD was seeking a way to tame the wiriness and reduce the nicking problems of this type of line. Almost 2 years of development was put into L&L focusing on ultimate line benefit and reel protection for not only for Fluoro, but for all types of line. L&L benefits have been proven for years by anglers like you as so many have stated here. When L&L is applied as directed, we find that it is the most durable, cost effective, line improving product on the market. We hope you feel so as well. Thanks to all of you that use KVD Line & Lure and those of you that have reported your satisfaction here.
  3. BTS s not going to remove the hard stains that you mention. BTS is a protectant to keep those stains from happening in the first place. To remove them try the suggestions that were mentioned here. Another good product is "The Works toilet cleaner. You can get it at most stores for about a buck. Apply with a sponge and let sit for a couple of minutes , then rinse. Might take a couple of applications to remove everything. After the stains are gone apply a couple coats of BTS according to the directions and the stains will not return.
  4. Speaking as the resident authority on BTS, It should be fine but just to make sure I suggest that you put the bottle (less sprayer into the microwave and heat it to 130degrees (or just too hot to hold). Remove, recap, and then shake well. This will reconstitute all ingredients. This is especially necessary for KVD Line & Lure that has frozen. Rob
  5. Luis, I am sorry that you are unimpressed with BTS. We strive to make the best products on the market an offer superior customer service. With that said, why don't you call me and discuss the problems you found with BTS. If I cannot get you to a satisfactory result, I will gladly refund your money. I can be reached at (877) 221-9797. Rob
  6. Hey everyone, We are really sorry to hear that some of you are experiencing problems with Line & Lure. As Glenn said, we have heard a handful of times over the last 5 years of people who have had some issues with their line while using our line conditioner. In a majority of cases that we have been able to investigate, we have found that the customer had contaminated the line with a reel oil or cleaning solvent. In some cases, our product was confused with another oil based line conditioner that did deteriorate the line. In other cases we have found that the line was damaged from abrasion during use or was deformed during the manufacturing process (it happens) or that the manufacturer released a bad batch of line that was inherently defective. We do extensive tests with most popular lines and we have found that even with extensive exposure to Line & Lure (soaked in if for days, etc.), the line tested was still within the factory specs for breaking strength, overall diameter and ductility and showed nothing but positive effects from the treatment. We have had the product tested by many of the major line companies and have never had any of them indicate compatibility issues with the use of Line & Lure on their lines. This is not to say that as new lines come out or manufacturers change the chemical formulas of their lines we will not find a line that might be negatively affected but as of this date, we have not found any line that is damaged by Line & Lure use. You can imagine that with the 10 of thousands of people that use Line & Lure there will be a few that will not find the benefits that we claim the product offers. Unfortunately there is no way to get to the bottom of these issues comprehensively because in most cases we do not get a chance to examine the line or to understand the customers usage or habits. We whole-heartedly believe that Line & Lure is the best and safest line conditioner produced. We stand behind the benefit claims we make with a no questions asked money back guarantee on the product. We encourage anyone that has experienced line problems with Line & Lure use to contact us and discuss the issues they are having. Your assistance may help find an answer to your issue and will help us in the continuing development of Line & Lure. I hope this helps. Thanks, Rob Faddis, President RMR Industries (972) 221-9797
  7. KVD Line & Lure has a high sunscreen to protect your line and equipment. It will actually bond to the line and reel for extended protection. It isn't oily or contain petroleum solvents and doesn't come off easily like the other product mentioned here. Rob
  8. I think if you try Line & Lure with the hot water treatment you are talking about you will see great benefit from Line & Lure. As a saltwater angler myself, I find one of the greatest benefits other then the line management benefits is the salt rejection and anti-corrosion properties the product offers. Really keeps gear in great shape with minimal cleaning needed. It eliminates the need for products like Salt X or Corrosion X that are needed after salt corrosion become a problem. Someone said that Line & Lure and Reel Magic/WD-40 are the same thing. Nothing could be farther from the truth. Reel Magic and WD-40 are petroleum oils and are listed in some states as toxic agents and are banned for use in or on the water. Line & Lure is a water-based blend of non-toxic polymers that do not pollute and actually react with the line to extend line life and make it more manageable. Used properly Line & Lure benefits can last all day unlike the other products mentioned here that need to be reapplied many times during the day. Remember that Line & Lure is not a spray and cast product like some others. You will see the greatest benefit by pre-applying it to your gear a couple of hours before fishing. I highly recommend that it be applied after a day of fishing also. This will keep your equipment protected and conditioned while in storage and it will be ready for your next trip to the water. If you have any specific questions about Line & Lure, feel free to call me personally at 972 221-9797. I love to hear from you.
  9. Umm.. I have a bottle. I've used it multiple times, appyling it the night before, through the cloth, directly on the spool and 15 minutes before. I cannot tell a difference. I wish I could get my $8.00 back. If you pay for shipping I will send you my personally signed bottle. I have no use for it. As they say, unfortunately you can't please everyone. We are sorry some of you are not finding value in Line & Lure. You can get your money back. There is a, no questions asked money back guarantee on Line & Lure. Take it back to the store where you bought it or mail it to the factory with your receipt and your info. That's all it takes. Jameson, as a stripper fisherman you will really enjoy what Line & Lure does in saltwater. It is the best anti-corrosive and dirt repellant out there. Your line will act better (even braid) and your gear will be protected from salt and sand. Clean up will be a breeze. Hope this helps, Rob
  10. Guys, Try BTS anywhere you have mold and mildew staining problems. In most cases it will lessen the problem dramatically and the resulting need for clean up patrol. Just keep it off where you walk/stand. A good trick is to put about an inch of water in the area by blocking the drain. This will keep over spray from getting on the floor of the tub or shower. Also clean the area to be treated well first. BTS will keep soap scum and hard water problems to a minimum also even on glass. Really beats having to use all of those harsh chemicals after the fact. Oh yea, BTS works pretty good on boats too! Rob
  11. Hey everyone, Thought I'd let you know that were going to have a BTS/KVD line and lure combo sale starting in April. You will get BTS at a rock bottom price and we'll give you a free 4oz. KVD for free. That will be the time to place your orders. The price will be better then anything we have ever done. This deal will even offset shipping costs for those of you that normally don't buy online because of shipping costs. How does that sound to you? Rob
  12. Any boat soap will work well for normal cleaning. We will be coming out with BTS boat wash soon, so we'll fix you up then. Carpet if it is dirty and has fallen nap; I suggest you take it to the local quarter car wash and use the wand on it to get the deep dirt and stains. Rinse well and then vacuum well. This should bring it back to life. Make sure you use BTS in your storage areas and on your rain gear to keep them mildew stain free and odorless.
  13. Don't worry about BTS hurting anything. It will keep all surfaces from environmental wear; i.e. oxidation, rust and UV damage. Many guys use it on their vehicles and motorcycles in place of wax with stellar results. If you have motor homes it will stop the black streaking and dulling of the sides. If you have bug splat problems in your area on your vehicle, try BTS to keep them from sticking to your vehicles. If you have patio furniture that gets dingy and stained frames and slats it will fix this too. If it is outside BTS will keep it looking good. Sounds like I pimping cause I am, but I am telling the truth. Just try it. You will not be disappointed. We guarantee it! Would you all like a BTS sale here on BTS to help out? Rob
  14. Muddy, Did you "pre-treat" your line with Line & Lure or just spray and cast? If you did not pre-treat your line and let dry you only experienced about 10% of what Line & Lure can do for your line. I suggest you give it another try by applying it to your filler spools to protect and condition them while they're in storage. Retreat while you reline your reels. Bottom line; treating your line the night before fishing and after an outing will make a huge difference in the way your line handles. Once you have a good initial coat on your line you can "tune up your line while on the water as you need. I think you will see a marked benefit. Line & Lure will also add a protective coating to your reel frame and rod. This adds a high sun screen, corrosion and wear protection to your gear. Rob
  15. j, Love the pimpin' thanks. I fully understand you issue and we have given it serious thought but not enough research with the fact that it rarely freezes around here. I have to agree that R/M is an adiquate solution to guide freezing and reel icing, but still not prefect. I just don't like the idea of introducing the toxins in the product to our waterways, even in small amounts. Try using food grade silicone oil...should help. In any case, using R/M or silicone over Line & Lure is ok but don't do it the other way around. R/M as a base will not let the L&L polymers attach to the line if treated with oil. Most Ideas that we have come up with are toxic chemical compounds or require a power source. If you have any good ideas we'll investigate. Thanks for being a L&L fan. Rob
