  1. More info here…
  2. A caffeine shad is 0.25 oz.
  3. The JDM Zillion SV has smaller handle knobs than the US Zillion SV.
  4. I bought my Dad a pair of sunglasses couple years ago. He used little bit of dish soap to clean the lens one day and soapy water got caught in the film of lens. Company sent him a pair of new lens, but that was the last time he used soap.
  5. Ordered one for my friend. Smoothest Tatula LT I felt out of box yet (I’ve handled a few). Spooled it with 10lb Sufix. He will be using it tomorrow for the first time.
  6. I purchased a BG 2500 a few months ago and I was impressed! Built like a tank and extremely smooth. As someone that prefers lighter reels (Vanfords, Stradic Ci4+ etc) I was concerned about the weight of the reel prior to buying it. It felt lighter than expected once I used it. I fish from the bank myself and would highly recommend it.
  7. I have a friend that works at a Cabelas and he said anytime they get new stock of any DC reel, they fly off the shelves and it’s usually purchased by younger clientele. I think for a lot of kids these days, it’s the cool reel to have regardless of how it performs.
  8. Just got some horny toads for the first time to put on a buzzbait.
  9. I remember trying Spyderwire back in the early 2000’s. First line that I truly hated. I had a lot if issues with it and never went back. These days there are so many options that I personally don’t have a reason to go back.
  10. Where can I get this Bass Buster 9000 reel?? Enjoy your new combo!
  11. As you already know, purchasing JDM reels/gear can be addicting.
  12. Being from Hawaii, I’ll represent the far West and say that we always called it Crayfish.
  13. Nice pics. I’ve been curious about these rods as well.
  14. Just my $0.02 on couple of things. You have the 2017 Tatula SV. Awesome reel and a lot of people prefer it over the smaller 2020 version. I still have couple and love them. It was my favorite reel until I got the Zillion SVs. I have Zillion SVs, Tatula SVs, and Elites but still prefer my Tatula 150 on my chatterbait rod. I just like the feel and power of the 150 when using chatterbaits/spinnerbaits etc. See how you like the Tat SV and determine if it fits your style of fishing chatterbaits. I sold multiple SVs to my friend and he uses it for everything. He loves it.
  15. Largemouth 6:05 am. Smallmouth 5:10 am
  16. Did it arrive?
  17. Favorite reel ever. Love everything about it. If I never bought a reel again and had to use the Zillion SVs for the rest of my life, I would be happy. Just know that if you go the JDM route, the knobs on the handle are smaller than the US model. Gears on the JDM are also aluminum vs brass in the US model.
  18. BG and Fuego. You can also can get a Tatula LT for $143 if you want to go the JDM route.
  19. Orange
  20. Only rods that I’ve purchased that was under a $100 was a Fenwick HMG and a Tatula and Fury which both were on sale. Now even the HMG is above $100. If it was me, I would buy used or wait for a sale.
  21. I know a lot of people always recommend the Aird X rods, but I purchased 3 of them in the past and hated how it felt in my hands. Purchased the spinning rod for my wife and she didn’t care for it either. I had them in both spinning and casting and returned them all. So while cheap, it’s not for everyone. Check out some rods in person if you can, and see what you like and don’t like.
  22. I cut out the outline of just the fish and placed one on our trash bin and one on our recycle bin. That has stopped our neighbors from accidentally taking our bins.
  23. I’m a ALX guy but don’t have any Enox models yet. I have a bunch of Zolos and a few IKOs. Love them all and the owner Alex is always ready to answer any question you may have. I have asked him tons of questions and he has answered every single one. ALX is a smaller company and always get overlooked imo. They make awesome rods.
  24. Disregard…my post was ALSO in reference to the SV and not the HD.
  25. I just came back from a trip and brought my Daiwa Ardito spinning rod (3 piece) and my Fenwick HMG casting rod (3 piece but can switch out tips between M and MH). I put all the pieces in the HMG case. It was a little shorter than the Ardito case and it was able to fit diagonally in my wife’s suitcase.
