  1. I used to fish nothing but senkos back in 2003-04 and it always caught fish, especially at night. Now, I still carry them and I can't get them to work. So weird.
  2. Awww thats awsome.
  3. When i have gotten hits on my KVD 1.0/1.5, it was on a steady retrieve. I will definitely stop if I hit structure though. Something about that wobble on those square bills makes the bass hit it!
  4. That is one amazing 226!
  5. What did you try this time? Did you try or do anything different?
  6. Sick video bro. I dont know how i missed this thread. Your hooksets are boss. I felt like i was watching Rocky training!
  7. Revival

    Amazon

Wow. I pay for the PRIME membership and only order from sellers with PRIME. I love it because it only takes 2 days to get your item and I think you are dealing with the larger companies that know what they are doing. Cant believe they shipped your rod in a plastic sleeve!
  8. Who are you spying on?...haha. I have always been anti myspace/facebook. Good luck with your undercover operation.
  9. I am not trying to turn this into a versus thread but I been wondering how does it compare to a St Croix Premeir? Anyone have both that could give me a comparison? I have 2 Premiers but have been contemplating trying out one of these rods. I hear nothing but good things about them. Unfortunatley, no place around here carry the Omens so I cant fondle it in person. I am strictly a 1 arm caster so that kind of worries me too.
  10. Why a magnum fluke? Why not a Super Fluke or a regular Fluke first? I fish from the bank too and i always have: - Shallow Cranks (KVD 1.0 in bluegill, sexy shad, chartreuse/black - Senkos (watermelon, junebug, green pumpkin) - Plastics to T-Rig (baby brush hog, paca craw, etc, all in green pumpkin) - Flukes/Super Fluke (white pearl, baby bass) Topwater: - Koppers frog - Cavitron buzzbait (black/black blade)
  11. Im not a fluro user but I know a lot of people recommend Seaguar Invizx
  12. I was thinking about that too. I wonder how fast they are going to get them in the stores after Icast???
  13. That's interesting about the 1 hand casting. Why is that? That definitely wouldn't work for me!
  14. I heard so many good things about these rods. I need to try one out soon.
  15. I just started using my first baitcaster (Curado) and while throwing my 1/4 weights i was having tiny backlashes. I was making sure my lure was falling slowly but still was having the same problem. I noticed if i kept the tension knob a tad tighter than where I felt it needed to be, it wouldnt backlash at all. I am not sure if its because my reel is new, but im sticking to it for now.
  16. I wonder if you could use Megastrike for squeaky doors?
  17. I would recommend a St Croix Premier Medium and a Shimano Stradic FJ or Ci4. You looking at just a little more than you want to spend if you buy it from the right places. I have the Premier/Ci4 and love it. Its ridiculously light and the rod is very sensitive. A lot of people prefer the FJ so thats a great option. I have heard nothing but good things about the *** rods too.
  18. Same for me. Thing is I am too stubborn. I know the color works and know everyone uses it so I always buy every color but green pumpkin then end up buying it anyways. I think I finally learned my lesson.
  19. I just was curious because according to Knot Wars, the Jansik is a "great knot for mono and fluro, lousy for braid". I been practicing the San Diego jam and this might be my new knot.
  20. Is the Jansik Special knot the same as the Jansik knot? Curious to know what makes you say its that much stronger than the Palomar? I finally looked up the San Diego jam and like it a lot and might have to try it.
  21. The star is usually the drag. So the little black knob. You adjust that each time you put on a new lure.
  22. Been trying out the Yozuri Hybrid and loving it and using the improved clinch with an occasional palomar knot.
  23. Which reel do you have?
