  1. Another vote for the Fuego LT. I think Daiwa has great options in the $60-$100 range. I’ve owned several Shimanos in that price range and I just didn’t like that they were so heavy. Most Daiwas in that price range feel way lighter.
  2. I had the Tatula LT 2500 and used Sufix 832 10lb braid and had no problems. I had it on the ALX Shake which is a ML/Fast. Do you have another rod that you can put the Tatula LT on, to tryout to see if you are still having the same issue?
  3. I want to start practicing skipping with my Tatula SV. For those of you that skip with a Tatula SV, how tight/loose do you keep your spool tension knob and what is your brakes set to? Any other tips appreciated. Thanks.
  4. Works well at night too.
  5. I would go with the 75yds. I recently purchased a line counter for these type of situations.
  6. I was in the same situation not to long ago and went with the 200 first. I ended up buying the 150 as well but in your situation I agree with Hammer and would go with the 200. Here is my thread with more advice/recommendations.
  7. I like to Yo-Yo but my rod lifts are usually not that high. After watching a friend use way higher lifts with success, I been testing it out.
  8. Were all the 1/2 oz shads on sale? Here in Vegas they only had 2 colors on sale and they were Baby Carp and Albino Craw.
  9. FG knot will probably be the smallest knot. But takes time and practice to master. Lots of different videos on YouTube on how to tie it. They also sell a tool that assist you in holding the line while you tie the knot. I have mid micro guides and use the Alberto knot and they pass through the guides fine.
  10. Youtube is the first place I checked out. A lot of videos are full tear downs and full maintenance on used reels. I found a couple that were simple and helpful. I made this thread because I was also curious to see how many people did full tear downs on a new reel and it’s actually more people than I initially guessed.
  11. I have no problems opening the reel up. Once it’s open, I’m not sure what to do...haha.
  12. Exactly the kind of info that I was looking for. I think I can handle this.
  13. Copper/Amber . Costas green mirror lens has a copper base. For under $80 look at Nines. Pretty sure you can find a discount code. You can get Costa 580p models in the low $100’s. I would save up a little extra and get the Costas. I own both the Nines and Costas.
  14. Here in Vegas we get 1 day shipping. If I order by 12pm, I would get it the next day. There was a period where it was taking over a week. My last 2 orders took 1 day. I placed an order today and the ETA said the 13th I believe.
  15. We are a year in with the pandemic, but Tacklewarehouse is also in California where they still have tons of restrictions.
  16. Yes I have done that recently but haven’t done a full tear down yet.
  17. Where exactly are you oiling if they need it? Or what would be some common areas that would need it out of the box?
  18. Just wondering how many you oil a new Baitcasting reel out of the box? If so, what specific locations are you oiling? Do any of you have any specific routines/rituals before using a brand new reel? If I wanted to oil a new reel out of the box, what areas should I be looking at first? I never serviced my own reels but I want to learn. I want this to be a educational and informative thread if anyone else is the same boat as me. Thanks
  19. I honestly don’t think they will have one but that’s just my opinion. I was ready to order earlier in the week but waited until today. I don’t want to wait with no official date and risk things being out of stock. Inventory is limited as it is. If they do end up having a sale, I’ll just order again. I just think it’s weird they pulled the plug last minute. The email I got from TW saying there were having the sale was on Tuesday. Only time will tell.
  20. As of the recent weeks, they were back to 1 day shipping to Vegas. Prior to that it, it was taking over a week. About to place another order, so we will see what happens.
