  1. That would be correct!!!!
  2. Slow rolling a spybait around a deep rock reef put this nice smallie in the boat. I was throwing it on a 6'8" M XF spinning rod with 6lb Yo-Zuri
  3. Does anyone know where I can find a map of Banner Creek online? I have searched for one and came up empty. I have a tournament down there with my club in mid April.
  4. Ok people, I can shed some light on how they are activated. Each of the little bends where the hook is attached to has a wire touching it. If you touch BOTH of the bends at the same time, it will activate the EBS because your fingers are able to conduct electricity, as does water. They will NOT activate in your box if other cranks are touching.
  5. The thing that sucks too is that Walmart won't even price match what their other stores are selling them for. I went to my local Walmart and the Bucoos were on sale for $99 (not much of a sale). Everything else was red tagged for like $.10 off. I even saw a pack of chigger craws with a red tag for $3.50. What a joke!!!
  6. Yes the blade was still attached when we were fishing them.
  7. I was sold on the Furbit popping frog last year when I got my arse kicked (and I mean kicked!) by my boater throwing the furbit popping frog while I was throwing an Ish's Phat Frog. He had half a dozen or so blow ups and caught about 17lbs to win the tournament.... I didn't have a single blow up in about 2 hours of my throwing it. I bought 1 that same day when I got home and hopped on my computer. It came in time for my tournament the following weekend. I was getting strikes in the same areas that people were fishing minutes before we pulled up on it. These fish were blowing up on it hard. There was a noticeable difference in how hard the hits were on the Furbit vs. the Spro or Ish's Phat Frogs. Only bad thing about them is the tail pops out very easily. Contact Optimum and they will send you new tails
  8. I love to throw a dropshotted Roboworm to dock pilings. I primarily only use it around docks when fish are hanging around the edges of the dock and not underneath. One of my favorite ways to fish on the lakes I fish when I am on vacation up in Detroit Lakes is to throw a 1/16oz Flick Shake head on a Jackall 5.8 Flick Shake worm on deep weededges. All I do is just cast it out and let if fall. I don't even move my rod for maybe 10-20 seconds. I lift up on the rod and then all of the sudden my line starts to swim the other way. Simple as that I can't even remember how many fish that has caught for me. Another technique that I have had a lot of success on up there is fishing a drop shot with a 3.5" LFT Live Magic Shad on it. I do it a little differently than other people do. I cast it out to the weededge and as soon as it hits the water I close the bail and let it swing back towards me. Most of my bites come before it even hits the bottom.
  9. I personally would throw them on atleast 20lb line. I have used 20 and 25lb fluorocarbon for the Shellcracker with no problems. I am going to try 65lb braid next year and see how that works. I used the G2 shellcracker a ton this past year on various different rods and I think it is best thrown on a light swimbait rod. I throw mine on a 7'9" Powell Endurance Alabama Rig rod. It is rated 1-3oz and works perfectly for the shell cracker.
  10. If I had to choose just one I would choose centrifugal over magnetic. However I prefer having both options on a reel. The only reels in my arsenal that don't have Centrifugal breaking are some Revos and Daiwas and I get way more backlashes with them than my Shimanos and Lews. If I put a lot of power into my casts with the Revos and Daiwas I get backlashes while when I let the rod do the working I don't have any problems. Just takes some time to get used to I guess
  11. I always carry a pair of needle nose pliers in my cargo pocket when walking the shore.
  12. The Dobyns Champion glass rods are what I prefer for my cranking rods.
  13. I have never tried that before. The more I think about it the better it sounds. Slowly reeling it along the bottom bumping into cover sounds like it would work great.
  14. Same as well!
  15. The trailer that I use on swim jigs 75% of the time is a Havoc Devil Spear rigged with the tail vertical and a 1/2" bit off the head. The rest of the time I will bite a Brush Hog in half and use that as a trailer.
