  1. I do a lot of shore fishing, like to step out into the water, and climb up on rocks. Not to mention I hate wearing socks in the summer. Anyone know of any shoes that they would reccomend? I normally wear sandals but recently i almost bit the dust stepping around rocks. All help is appreciated!
  2. Not trying to be a jerk but if flipping a bail is a pain to you, i dont see a baitcaster being a good option
  3. I have always loved ugly stick. It has been my go to rod for years (spinning) they might not have the best feel. But you cannot beat them for people just starting out. You will hear people on here talking about snapping rods on hooks sets on $100+ rods, its probably very tough to find a person who has ever snapped an ugly stik on a hook set unless they managed to snag a speed boat. But then again if they were using power pro and an ugly stik, its possible they ripped the lower unit off the boat.
  4. I also cant stand the hog hunts that involve dogs and a knife. It would be much more impressive if you could take the hog down by yourself and kill it with a knife. I dont really understand why one would enjoy that either though. Im sure its a rush of adrenaline but then again it just doesnt seem ethical to me. I enjoy hunting and all that but something about terriffying an animal and then stabbing it until it dies just seems a little crazy.
  5. I once was on a field trip and all of our sack lunches got stolen. Who would steal 30 sack lunches you ask. ill tell you who took those lunches, it was that d**n sasquatch.
  6. boat or shore? From a boat i say run cranks down weed lines, from the shore throw texas rigs
  7. I almost fell out of a jon boat once. It was pretty terrifying at the time.......
  8. idk i just like it. Ive always loved being near the water. I think that started from walking the docs of the yacht club wishing i could own one as a kid.
  9. closest is probably about 10 mins, but ill go up to an hour or more to fish new spots.
  10. I went to my local tackle store yesterday and picked up some yum dingers. I always talk to the guys while im in there and they all suggested i super glue the senkos on. Anyone ever try that?
  11. Ive got scratches but, i cant say ive ever been cut by a bass. You guys fishing in Chernobyl?

Theres actually a medical condition where you can smell colors or hear them or taste them. Its pretty rare though.
  13. This triggered a memory i had as a kid. Growing up i lived in an old farm house around the same age as yours (100+). Thankfully i never saw any ghosts or anything. The moon would shine into my room and i always thought there was a ghost on the wall but obviously i was very young and dumb. Although one time (it was at night) i was in my room watching tv when everything shut off. I bolted down stairs where the lights were still on. I asked my parents if the power had went out down there and they said no. They walked back up to my room with me and turned everything back on. Needless to say i was still freaked out.
  14. Only at my house. Of course though I don't think I slept anywhere else during the time. It was like clock work though. It felt like a bolt of lightening went through me. Id sit up immediately and always be staring at it. And if I happened to be staying up late that night, and it was anywhere near 3 am id stay up til 4 just to be safe before going to bed. iM sure it was just a sleep disorder though, or at least thats what I like to believe. As far as smoking outside. Im surrounded by woods. And when I smoked I would step out on my deck and hear some crazy noises at night.
  15. I told myself in that 3rd, well at least they will have a chance to win the cup in chicago... little did i know ...
  16. I can assure you it was never cool. It was terrifying. I honestly thought i was being tormented by demons until i looked it up online. Still though i slept with a cross necklace on just for insurance purposes. Also not sure if paranormal but when i was working my first job back in highschool i worked maintenance at a church. One night working alone probably around 11pm, i started hearing what sounded like doors opening and closing in the childrens classroom sections. I always locked all the doors when no one was in it so this shook me up. I stopped what i was doing walked back to see if anyone was there and everything was all locked up. So I set the alarm, and went home. The next day i got a call from my boss (older female) asking why everything was left out. I told her what i heard and that i dont mess around with ghosts. She laughed at me, but thats one thing i wont chance. This was after i was there at 2 am and someone leaving late didnt close the door all the way so it didnt lock and a bum wandered in. I escorted him out, so she couldnt understand how i could do that by myself but not handle a "noise"
  17. Not really paranormal but for a while every night i would wake up about a half hour after falling asleep and would see someone in my room looking down on me. I could never see a face or anything just a shadow. But I would wake up just screaming. I actually had to move my pistol away from my bed because i pulled it multiple times on this thing. It was creepy, i read on the internet that it happens to a lot of people. Its a sleep condition where your dreaming but wake up and your mind still is in dream world. It hasnt happened in a couple months. It was so creepy though that i dreaded going to bed. By the way in the short time ive been here ive come to love this site. Not just because of the fishing advice but because of great threads like this!
  18. It all depends on the type of dam and how fast the water is flowing. Id try to hit the slower moving areas of water. Near rocks or any structure that is going to hold fish.
  19. I stopped caring what my hands smelled like when i saw bait for sale scented like coffee.
  20. The last two times i have went fishing around sunset on the river ive been getting stumped. Both times i end up tossing out a 4" dark senko. And both times im hooking up with decent large mouths. This is great and all but im losing senkos like mad. Is there anyway to texas rig a senko without losing it on every fish? Or is there a similar bait i can pick up thats more durable?
  21. what type of boat would help. I would think white would be the best color to keep cool.
  22. Any color as long as its red.
  23. I think the cost of getting the boat out, getting any title work or registration, buying a trailer, motor, seats, and having all the other work done to it. Itd probably be best to just let it stay there Not to mention you say the land owner is unknown, which means you are trespassing, which means any form of getting in contact with the property owner to retrieve it would let him know you were trespassing.
  24. I was right there with you until i saw it in person. It works with the car, even though its breaking away from the past. I just wish the wouldnt have called it a stingray. And both emblems look extremely dumb to me. I saw you mention c4 zr1s. A couple years back a local dealer got one in that was in pretty rough shape. The owner didnt pay his repair bill and they took possession on it and only wanted 10k out of it. I dragged my feet and someone off ebay bought it sight unseen. I still think the lt5 is one of the most beautiful motors out there. and im still kicking myself over letting that slip through my fingers. Great pictures by the way!
  25. Yesterday i saw the new 2014 stingray at a gas station. The guy said it was 1 of only 4 on the road currently. I didnt like them when they first announced them but i would of gave my first born son for that car. The look of it is insane.
