  1. They are junk, serves them right to steal a poor mans idea and mass produce it. I won't buy a live target product for that reason.
  2. Jackall has a carp pattern Gantarel that might get the job done. It can be had at TW
  3. The fact that you feel like you have to prove anything at all is ridiculous, people are way to worried about what someone else might think. Who gives a crap what other people think just go fishing...I will add that keeping a fish in a livewell is no where as bad as the pics I see with a bass laying in the dirt just so someone can get that all so mighty pic.
  4. Opened today here...
  5. Black because it contrasts against the sky which makes it easier to see from below
  6. I have the same unit and if you hold mine down it wont turn on either, just push the button and let go and it should fire up.
  7. Last week I saw two kids on the bank smoking a pipe while I was in my boat, and about a half hour later Johnny Law was putting them in handcuffs. Must of been the wrong kind of pipe, or maybe it was the tobacco...
  8. I love roboworms to, but dont overlook the SK KVD Dreamshots. theyve been out fishing the roboworms for me this year. As far as colors, just use whatever makes you feel confident they all work.
  9. This my second well third but second in the bright bluegill color. I had my best morning all year by far and every fish came on the Shellcracker. Well that is up until I hit a tree branch and instead of retying I just re-casted and hooked up a dink, so I just surfed it back to the boat and as I lifted it to swing it into the boat it shook and there he went along with my brand new Shellcracker. When you get fish chasing one kill it and it will swim up to the top and that's when they hammer it. I fish Liberty reservoir and its really clear so I see most bites before they happen, which sometimes can make it tough because you have to make them commit as soon as you can see them or not too long after they'll see you and its game over. On another note the bait well tackle monkey got me for another $114 last night on an Okuma 7'11" heavy big bait rod so I can take this whole swimbait thing to a new level. That and the Hybrid striper season should be coming back in play real soon and we have some hammer hybrids where I fish, hence the Savage gear trout!!!
  10. Just wanted to say thanks again for the hook up today, your the man!!! He's the real deal guys all the other online stores should take note of his customer service.
  11. I try to use close to the same diameter lines, it makes tying the two together much easier then using two different diameter lines.
  12. To be honest I even have fuses on my negative side just in case of a reverse polarity situation, a few bucks for a coupl extra fuses is a lot better then replacing my boat.
  13. The motor loads the same but if you get a short it will pull the full load of both batteries which is enough to burn up the wire and catch fire. I'm not saying not to rum them that way, I have my front motor running on 2-12s in parallel but I have a fuse in line so if a short occurs it will just pop the fuse not burn up my boat.
  14. You could run 4-6volt golf cart batteries and it would run all day also. I have this setup in my reservoir rig, the reservoirs I use it in are electric motor only. I was running with 12s but had to do multiple battery swaps to stay out all day, and now I don't swap nothing. If your going to run them in parallel make sure you use a breaker, because if you get a short it will most likely cause fire because of the doubled amps.
  15. Glad to help. I use 8lb diameter PP braid, with a 6lb mono leader on my drop shot setup. I tried flouro but it twists wayyyy to much for me, since the switch I haven't had a single issue with line twist.
  16. I'll agree with the invisible part, but it does stretch quite a bit actually.
  17. Scout look fishing weather, it gives you all your solunar details. It even has an awesome fish log where you snap a pic of the fish and it will automatically fill in location, time, date and solunar details.
  18. Just a heads up, make sure you know your shark species because with all the Sharks that are on the can't catch list here in MD you can easily get yourself in trouble. Some sharks your not supposed to remove from the water and so on. So unless your sure of the species that's on the other end of the line be careful. I believe some of these species to be on the endangered species list, so just be careful. Oh and if asked your not targeting sharks just fish in general.
  19. I'd have to say both. Bringing a friend is great as long as that friend can cast, it's nothing like spending all day pulling up on a great looking spot and their first cast is in the trees. Going alone also great because I seem to accomplish more. What I mean is that I spend most of the time locked on the sonar trying to figure out new spots, but when a friend comes along I generally take them to spots that I'm pretty sure will produce so I'm not trying out new stuff.
  20. For the guys that are fishing 20' and deeper, how does these depths compare to the thermocline? I'm assuming you guys are fishing below it?
  21. I honestly don't know the answer to that question, but it couldn't hurt to approach them and try and sell the idea.
  22. It's been all about the drop shot here for the last few weeks. All though a few have been coming on a jerk bait early. Way to go AJ
  23. Have you tried to approach BPS about the idea, they might be able to help in some way...
