I have a 1542 right now that I use as a reservoir boat and its all electric. I run 2-55s transom mounts for travel and a 55 bow mount for fishing. I also have decks in my boat and I'm running 4-6volt Golf cart batteries in series for my travel motors and a 12 volt for the bow mount. With me and a buddy plus everything else we travel about 4 to 5 mph with 2-55s, this is with a good amount of added weight. I can also say that the difference between 1-55 and 2-55s is only about 1 mph believe it or not, but the batteries last longer running two motors versus one.

The new Mojos are made with the sc111 blank which is the he same as the avids. This change was made the end of last year, they're a solid rod. I actually own a couple of them along with a couple avids .

Do you need it? Probably not , but I will say that at one time I was cranking with a fast action rod and didn't see any issues. But then I ran into a smoking deal on a St Croix Avid cranking rod which is M/H Moderate action, and I absolutely love it. I can't even remember the last time I lost a fish on it, yes I've lost some but very few. When I was using a fast action rod I was losing a lot on cranks. Get one and try it I think you'll like it...

If your lucky enough to catch some try steaming them as we in MD would do with crabs, and make sure you use old bay on them. If you do this you'll probably never boil a crawfish again, I promise...

Get the Okuma guide select Xheavy, you won't be disappointed. Take the extra money you save and buy a swimbait with it.

I primarily fish a few of the reservoirs in MD and black and blue has never been good for me, I use more green pumpkin type stuff. Actually I just picked up a dozen candy craw snipers from Sieberts that look killer. PBJ would be my choice even though I rarely use it.

I was using a uni to uni but I found that it was a PITA getting through the tiptop of my drop shot rod so this year I'm committing to the Alberto knot. We'll see how it goes

To learn how to use my FF in the way it was meant to be used. What I mean is that I can use it to find structure and stuff, I just don't really use any of its real features like mapping and stuff. Heck I'm still trying to figure out what it is I'm looking at sometimes.

I don't know about the best, but I use dreamshots, roboworms and rage craws in no real order.

I'm using a lexa 300 as well, when I bought mine it had a power handle as well. I tried to find a used handle but had no luck so I bought this handle: http://www.tacklewarehouse.com/Daiwa_Baitcasting_Custom_Handles/descpage-DBCH.html I'm using to 7:1 ratio as well which a lot of guys say is too fast of a reel, but I dont seem to be having any problems with it. You just have to remember to reel sloooow, My swimbait rod also pulls double duty for stripers and I like the fast reel for when I'm striper fishing as I'm not always fishing with swimbaits for stripers.

LC staysee 90, LC slender pointer, MB vision 110 ITO tour premium are the three that get the most use.

I have an all electric reservoir boat so sometimes on my travels I like to listen to music, some of my spots are an hour boat ride one way. I dont really listen to much while I'm actually fishing though, I find it distracting.

I generally use a swing impact for chatterbait trailers, do you guys feel the swim senko makes a better trailer for a chatterbait?

Well as far as numbers go it would be a drop shot for me.

I don't what kind of price your working with, but I'm using the BPS brand 3 bank on my boat and it's been great. I run an all electric reservoir boat hence the 3 bank, but I can run all day today and be fully charged a day later.

At first glance I didn't realize you stated med/light, but I'd be using that for a drop shot rod. Actually I have that exact rod but in a spinning version that I specifically drop shot with. It would probably be good for spybaits to though

My grandfather would for sure be first without a doubt, but since you stated a pro, it would have to be Ike just because his passion for the sport is addicting. He seems like he'd be a blast to hang out with for a day, and I loved his city limits show.

I like them early in the year when the baitfish are still on the small size, and again when the fish start highly pressured and are shying away from bigger baits. The smallies love the smaller profile also, I throw all my jerk baits on a St. Croix 6' 8" M/XF.

A moderate tapered rod is the ticket, but I don't buy that sensitivity don't matter. My cranking rod is a St Croix avid MH/Mod and it has great sensitivity which I love. I can feel everything the baits doing and its sensitive enough to that when a fish gets close to the bait I can feel it in the action of the bait. It will all of a sudden feel like the bait stopped working then bam there it is. Same goes with my spinnerbait rod as soon as I feel the blades stop spinning I get ready for the bite. Somewhere on you tube is a video showing underwater hits on a crank bait, and you'd be surprised on how many times a bass engulfed an entire crank bait and spit it out before the angler even felt a strike.
