  1. Thanks rockchalk06 thats exactly what i was looking for
  2. Thanks, what kind of trailer would you recommend? I dont have much experience with a swim jig, only footballs. What method of fishing on them have you had success with?
  3. Thanks guys, and yea i'm definitely trying the fan method tomorrow, that's the third time I've heard that today.
  4. okay if the water is pretty clear then use natural colors like watermelon red, watermelon seed, and pumpkin. If its not as clear use dark colors like junebug and black. Also use the fan method, which is cast on both sides of you adjacent to the shoreline, and then cast increasingly outwards and once you get straight out start to cast inwards on the other side. Like a how a fan would move back and forth.
  5. Yes I do the same thing with flukes, but they are usually a faster action. Instead of letting them sink, I give them harder jerks, but still use the random jerking sets, and the pauses. What does the area that you are fishing in look like?
  6. What I do is use a weightless texas rig for the senko or trick worm, then cast it along the edge of the dock. Let it sink to the bottom on the initial fall, then jig your rod slightly in random sets of 1-3 jigs with short pauses after each jig. try this in as many places as possible near and around your dock, and work down the shoreline if you can, casting in as many areas as possible. Once you get the motion right and cover more ground you should be getting more bites. Also the bass will most likely be hitting it on the fall, so if you see your line start to tighten after the pauses, reel in the slack and give it a good hookset.
  7. I do a lot of bank fishing and i am looking to start using jigs. what would anyone recommend for bank fishing small residential lakes with 3-5 foot vis stained water in terms of jig type, color, and trailer type, color.
  8. I almost always fish them texas rigged with no weight. i find it easier to control them that way and any fish will hit them. Senkos and flukes are my two preferences, and i find that most of my bites come from a sporadic jigging pattern with short pauses. With senkos the best action comes from letting it sink to the bottom right off of the cast, and jigging it a few times, with a short pause, and repeat. Flukes you can fish in every part of the water column depending on where the fish are biting and the depth of the water. After using this method a few times you will start to become comfortable with the movement of your baits and you will start catching more fish.
  9. I do all my bass fishing in the multiple lakes in the neighborhoods around mine, and although i do pretty well occasionally, i cannot get a consistent bite in any of these lakes. Just wondering what works well for all those other small lake bass fisherman in terms of lures, structure, and techniques.
