"Pro" angler advice: bed fishing is cheap so fish for bass that are just about to move onto beds or have just moved off the beds. I would think he's an advocate of catch and release but his videos say otherwise
A regular backpack will do just fine. However, I got a bass pro shops pro qualifier back pack and it has been a big step up from the school bag I was using. I highly recommend it. The only downfall is that I can haul too much stuff, making it rather heavy.
I bought a tatula, even though I didn't need a new reel. I have had no regrets about buying it and it has become my favorite casting reel. It doesn't cast farther but it takes less effort when casting.
There is a trout stream that runs behind the Walmart I go to, so the fishing section caters more to trout anglers than bass. But I've been to ones in NY and NC that have a large selection of bass gear. But Walmart is having a price war with Amazon right now. Unfortunately it seems like the fishing stuff is not being affected by it.
My first JDM reel. Unfortunately it could use a new anti-reverse bearing but other than that I'm happy. Couldn't pass up the color scheme on it. Not sure why the pictures are showing up sideways.
Thanks for all the input, everyone. I guess the only way to find out is to take my chances.
I'm looking at some Daiwa Millionaire cv-z's and Abu Garcia Morrum sx's on ebay that are located in Japan.
I'm looking at purchasing a reel from Japan on ebay. However, I read ebay's details on international trade and it says that customs fees may apply. I was wondering if anyone who has experience with JDM reel purchases could weigh in on whether they have been charged for this or not. I don't want to get nailed with a big import fee that I never saw coming.
I'm looking for a good inflatable boat for under $100 and was wondering if anyone on this forum could recommend one (the online shopping reviews I've found aren't very helpful). My dad has a canoe, but it's a two person job and I'd like to be able to get out on the water whenever I want. I fish small lakes and reservoirs that are electric motor only. Feel free to offer tips and advice as well.
I have a tourney trail 7ft medium. Had to replace the guide on the tip because the rubber insert fell out. But I enjoy using it. It's not my favorite rod but for $40, it's a good deal.
