  1. I'd say to her "men are respectful of other people and don't want to get anyone else sick."
  2. @jbsoonerfan, I have had seputuras under a pale grey sky live album on repeat all of last week!
  3. Hard to forget this one, Tom Araya of slayer - Angel of Death. Starts at 0:20.
  4. I have the keens and they work out well, but one thing I don't like about them is that the big holes allow big rocks to get in. I kind of like the outdoorsman version that they sell at Basspro. It has a mesh around the holes to let water out, but smaller silt/sand gets in. You could do a combo of the neoprene socks and the keens. I'm going to try that this season in my kayak since I like getting into the water to get into my kayak.
  5. Good luck Raider. If it makes sense on paper and you've thought this through properly then all will be well. As others have said, trust yourself and give it your best. I did the same thing about 3 years ago and it has worked out for the better for myself and my family.
  6. Yeah they look pretty good. I've been eyeing them for a while and was hesitant on the 45$ price tag. But I found a good deal on them, the guy selling only had limited colors. 30$ a piece!
  7. This is what the bait monkey managed to squeeze out of me this week....now if I can find some open water to throw this...
  8. man, that ito... @hzzhangc you always have the nicest gear. nice rigs.
  9. @PGlaze I made a diy version of the cellblok. Basically the key component is a 12v 9800mah blue battery off of eBay. It is pretty small and can power my elite 4 color for a couple of trips. The battery is probably around 4in x 6in and it fit inside a dry plastic box I found in the outdoor section at Walmart and screwed that to a cut up cutting board. If you need close up pics let me know.
  10. I've felt the same way as others have posted about how it seems they are just making it up as they go along. It is a lot of moving pieces and hard to make that many people happy. I'm going for the experience and a chance at some money with all of their prizes from different manufacturers. @faygo1979, I have the same goal as well. Hopefully the weather will cooperate and it will be a good time.
  11. Just got back from there. I was with the rocktown adventures booth with the kayaks all the way in the back. Didn't see many deals, did get to check out some daiwa reels (no steez tws) like the SV103 and saw lots of big swimbaits and jdm tackle by the big fish tank.
  12. Welcome to the forums. This site has helped me a bunch and I try to help others as well. I'm in oak park, just west of Chicago.
  13. I've got a 2013 Ride 135. Can't wait to hit the Kayak Bass Fishing National Championship in March. It'll be interesting.
  14. Just FYI, not sure when you emailed them but they have a disclaimer on their site on the front page that says they just found out that they weren't able to receive messages made through the "Contact Us" link and to contact them at their info@japan-lureshop.com email.
  15. Welcome to the forums. I got a few buddies that live in aurora and yorkville. I'm way east in oak park. As close to Chicago as you can get.
  16. So sexy I'd take pictures of it in bed too! Lol!
  17. welcome aboard.
  18. PIcked these up over the holidays....threw them once and the action is pretty good.
  19. Added this to the lineup, Team Daiwa Zillion Type R. Looking to add a Megabass Levante Perfect Pitch for froggin' come spring!
  20. Ah, Just curious to see if anyone else was heading there. I've fished smaller tournaments and help run our own tournament trail here in IL. It will probably be one of the biggest tournaments I ever fish and I think it'll be an experience by itself. So far there are 379 guys with an additional 100 to qualify from the open tournament the day prior. With the big water and option to launch from almost anywhere on the lake, I think the time spent to study the lake will help mitigate some of the advantage from trolling motors and pedal kayaks. Bottom line is you still have to catch the fish. @GetBent You never know, it might be a jig/senko/shakey head bite..:)
  21. Just curious about this....Are any BR members going to be at the Kayak Bass Fishing National Championship at Kentucky Lake tournament in March?
  22. Jeff, I'm glad you liked the toffee. My wife has been making it for the past 3 years and it was received very well. One thing I'd like to mention, do not eat the whole box. Unless you do Michael Phelps type of exercise. The little black lure I bought from ebay from Thailand, it's a topwater bait that I was curious about working on bass. - Tony
  23. i'm looking forward to these as well. I've only handled them and not actually fished it. The handle is a split grip handle and it's pretty narrow/smaller. Beautiful looking rod.
  24. Totally user error. It was my first time throwing the type R (and on tournament day) and I put a little too much sauce on it before dialing it in properly. Haven't had much of an issue since with any of my Daiwas. I just have to be mindful switching between Shimano and Daiwas during my outing.
  25. Got my box from 00Mod today. Thanks! I'll put these to good use!
