I just recently bought my first baitcaster, and I've read posts stating that for your first one buy a decent one. So after reading countless posts and reviews I went with a Lew's Tournament Pro. I got it off ebay for an awesome price of a $120! And like a lots of posts suggested, I put some 12lb. mono on it and practiced as I have never casted a baitcaster before. Last weekend I took it out on the lake and put a 1/2oz. lipless crankbait on and it was casting great!! I was amazed at how far I was casting without trying hard, and not one birdsnest!! But some of the others I considered before I bought the Lew's were the BPS Pro Qualifier, Shamano's Curado. The Revo's are a real nice reel also.
Here is a pict. of my Lew's TP on a *** *** Black 7"1" M rod!
