  1. I use the same knots as light line. But for example when using the improved clinch, instead of 5-8 wraps around the main line I only do 3-6 with heavier line
  2. Idk what happened that should not have posted. But it seems to be more finese to me, does that sound right
  3. I definitely want to try that out. It seems to he more finese to me?
  4. I would have a compression check done. Sometimes the look good but aren't at top performance and that can leave you with lots if headaches
  5. That is a tough one! I would say both the tip (length) gives you the feel and helps with the swing of your rod. While the back bone keeps it from shaking away. Idk just my take on it
  6. When fishing structure it can be so tough to pin point the exact spot. If your off by a foot then your done
  7. I just jerry rigged it, I saved a lot of money that way. The readings are still great
  8. No question here just gotta say that this winter I set up my transducer on my bow mount trolling motor and I love it. Vs where it was in the back of the boat before. The reading on my electronics, which is up on the front deck, pertains more to where I am fishing now. It had already helped me find fish on a ledge during pre-spawn
  9. I have a technique specific MF 7' crank bait rod. I was wondering what type of rod you guys use for square bills when fishing around lay-downs and rocks? Thanks
  10. Thank you guys I like the mono for square bills
  11. I think the biggest tip is practice. You got to get that muscle memory down
  12. The 2.5 is a wider wobble and a bigger frame, fir me that is the BIG difference. If you just need bites in I would use the 1.5 it is smaller and is less likely to get caught on structure. Plus fish will go after it since it's not as big. But latter in the year, or if you are looking for a bigger bite then use the 2.5. I think both can be used anytime. It just depends on the situation
  13. I have this same problem from my boat though. A place I fish is do scummy and weedy nothing works there. But I know there are fish there. I will try a weight less senko
  14. Ever Start. Cheap but in my mind a great battery, gets the job done and takes the beatings I through at it.

    Gummy Worms

Yeah I feel like that would be you best bet. To add to your formula
  16. Try Jann's Net Craft. I love the 6" power worm mold I bought. Caught my PB on one
  17. Wow!!!!! I missed the ball there. I know they are not the best but when your 18 and college is around the corner the would be great
  18. I was wondering what line you guys use for crank baits. To narrow it down I have three categories -Square bill -1' - 10' - 10' + Thanks for the help
  19. I second that I have about 6 all like those 3 and they do the trick just fine. However, that being said I still live that technique specific stuff
  20. You could use one if the 7' for flipping no it would not be the best like the one you are looking at but if I were you I would get a finesse setup. They in my mind can help you catch fish on those tough days when nothing else works. I also belive they can catch fish pretty much anytime. Fir instance a ml spinning rod with a shaky head can be deadly
  21. Wisconsin 29 pounds for my top 5
  22. I agree 100%!!!!! I am 18 and I understand if the fish ends up on the deck floor sometimes you cannot control how they come in. But my biggest peatpeve fishing is when people "throw " the fish back in from 8 feet. One I see pros do a lot is hural a culled fish off its stringer back into the water. They say time is money but no fish equal no money ..... We must treat the fish with respect so we gave this great sport for years to come
  23. In my mind it can be a short 45mins or as long as a week or two. It is hard to tell how long one will last. Weather, time of year, and pressure all play key roles in it along with many more variables
  24. I like to go to the wind blown bank. Especially if there is a driving rain, I slow roll a spinnier. Although I have caught sone on the non wind blown bank
  25. I did my first tourney, you gotta put in the time researching and believe in yourself. Then it will happen, it could be you next tourney, next year or ten years from now till you start doing it consistently. It's tough and nobody does all the time look at Vandam. Just put your tryst in God, practice hard, do your research and then perform on game day
