  1. The guy was probably just made ya did not buy your combo from him, hahahahaha, but I think it will work for sure to learn and get the technique down. Once you do that post again and then will set you up with a new combo when your ready to upgrade
  2. My favorite bait is a Rapala DT 6 in Demon color..... I think crank baits are way more versatile than people think and use them for. If I could only use one bait it would be this, it would be tough sometimes yes, but it is so versatile
  3. Thanks for all you do, carry God with and fear nothing, I will catch a Wisconsin Hog for you God Bless, be safe
  4. Happy EASTER everyone nice job out there bud, God Bless
  5. Thank you guys for the help, I have brought all those lures and am very excited..... thank you
  6. I am extremely excited because we are leaving for Florida today, although I have been to Florida before I have never been able to bass fish. This year will be my first time bass fishing..... I will be fishing in a pond near Panama City. Since I am from Wisconsin I am not familiar with Florida bass. So I was wondering if anybody could help me out with what do to catch the gator bass. The pond I will be fishing is pretty good size has a pier, and plenty of lily pads Thank you very much for any help I appreciate it.....
  7. My uncle taught me to push your rod out then slowly reel in, when the fish starts to run with it, the pull up over the head..... after he taught me to do this my strike-to-catch ratio whent way up
  8. The mississippi is pretty bad by the city park in La Crosse Wisconsin
  9. I do not know where teh bass are in relation to space, but if there is open water behind them cast past them and then consitently drag a good reaction bait by them untill they either move, or hit
  10. You could use a jig, but since you have had good catches t-rigging, I would t-rig a lizard or a fluke maybe even a tube bait..... and just drag them across the bottom in the channel I would also try and find where the channel has it's biggest drop or a spot that has rock on the bottom and use a crank bait there
  11. Wisconsin is a really diverse state to fish, I know you cannot fish all year therefore that is its only down fall. Yet, it can really help own our skills. But I would say that most states are the same I would say Texas.....
  12. I would say about 8-11, nice fish
  13. Nice fish, I would say that you are probably pretty close, I would call her 6-9 to 8-12
  14. That's pretty cool bud, I love to write as well and have been searching for a freelance bass job just to earn a view bucks in the summer. But congratulations to you
  15. I would have to say it is a certain time..... but once it its that time it ahs to hit a certain temp, 54 in southern states and 59 in northern states for the bass to begin to spawn So I guess both, get to a certain time of the year, the start prowling then hit the right temp and they spawn..... or Get the temps and they start prowling and once ya hit the time of year the spawn
  16. Welcome to the sport buddy. It is a lot of hard work but it will pay off someday..... First of all I would use a lure you are confident with at first for a awhile till you become really familiar with how it feel, and how fish react to it. Once you have done that move on to another lure/technique. Do not stop that technique until you are comfortable with it, regardless if you go weeks on end with no fish, it pays off. Then to answer if anglers fish the same spot differently, the answer would be yes..... for example if you come up to a tree filled shore line where most anglers will jig or t-rig it, I will fish a shallow Rapala DT - 6 crank bait. This is because I have confidence in this bait. As you will learn confidence is the key, believe in yourself and you will catch fish.....
  17. Rain or shine I'm out there, only thing holding me back is the lighting
  18. Fishing is a gift to us from GOD we should treat the fish with respect. Yes it does harm them, and it drives me crazy to see that as well. It must be a pretty big deal because in MFL Tournaments they are penalized something around 2mins for a fish hitting any part of the boat (slim rubbing off, and visual damage)
  19. I will be leaving for Florida this Week on Friday, yet to go out bass fishn' yet up here in Wisconsin. We will be staying in Panama city, and I was wondering if there were any places to fish for bass from the shore? I would really liked to see what Florida has to offer even though I will be on the shore..... THANKS A TON
  20. My goals are the following 1. Win State SAF High school tournament 2. Qualify for Nationals in SAF 3. Place in Money in League Tournaments consistently 4. Win League Tournament 5..... HONOR GOD AND HAVE FUN WITH FAMILY!!!!!
  21. If anybody thinks you are annoying then they should not be on here. We appreciate you and God Bless
  22. I would just go back to what you are best at, and do not change the bait, color, or presentation until you catch something. It can be painful but sometimes in a drought that is one of the only ways to get you out
  23. We as anglers need to do our part, God gave us these lakes/waters to fish. The least we can do is keep them in pristine shape to thank Him.
  24. Gander Mountain has some pretty exceptional offers on these rods in the up coming mounts, and I was just wondering if anyone had ever used them, and what they thought of them.....
  25. Congrats to Randy Howell..... although my favorite is Edwin Evers, I am glad Randy Howell won. I got to met him back stage at the Diet Mountain Dew Mississippi River Rumble presented by Power-Pole and he was such a nice guy, I have learned so much about him and all he does for Kings Home, he is a true champion, what he does for them is worth far much more than any Classic win
