  1. The lake I fish has so much wild rice it is not funny. I always hear fish splashing way deep in there. I have had some bits on frogs fishing the weed line, I have caught a lot of fish using a swim jig around the weed lines as well. I was just wondering what are other ways to fish these areas?
  2. I have never consider any of this before..... but it makes since there has been some days where I will catch fish on a birch lay down then nothing on the pine (put in other tree here). This has always shocked me because I thought I had a great pattern. Knowing this know I see that that could have played a role in my pattern. I will try and track this and see what conditions lead to which tress.
  3. I have used the Navionics Web App, and I love it. Is the phone app like having a GPS on a sonar unit. It is hard to ask what I am think but is it like the web at where you can scroll anywhere or can you do that but it also shows you where you are. That is what I want, for it to show me where I am and mark waypoints. Also there are so many versions ranging in price, which one should I get?
  4. I think that more time should be spent trying to become versatile. I will go out and use just one technique for a week or until I catch a limit what ever I feel comfortable with. I will also go and do this with my strengths. I believe this has helped me more than anyone will ever know..... I highly encourage this
  5. Thanks for all the help
  6. Hahaha that is to bad, but oh well hey that is still a great fish, congrats
  7. Trust your instincts
  8. Have fun, and just fish
  9. How often should you grease your reels? Is everyday after hard use (5+ hours on that reel only) good or what do you guys do?
  10. The bass could have been feeding on something there, but just because the spawn happened does not mean every single bass in the lake spawned then. At Bass Fest hank Cherry caught a 10 pounder off a bed and that was just a little bit ago
  11. We have a responsibly to take care of the waters we fish, God gave us them and we must respect them. We also are responsible for those in our boat, ourselves and other on that body of water. Therefore consuming alcohol is wrong and puts you and others at risk even if you think you are in "good shape"
  12. Littering is not expectable at all under any circumstances..... I do not drink at all but being from northern Wisconsin most people will have a beer or two while driving a boat, it is legal as long as you are under the blood alcohol limit..... this being said I do not agree with it
  13. When I set the hook with crank baits I make it more of a sweep, but do not let that fool you I still yank it pretty hard. Same with most trebles a sweeping motion, just make sure all of your slack is up
  14. Thanks for all the help, I can not wait till my mold arives

  20. Remember this feeling and use that and what you learned to come out and win the next event
