  1. Wow why do you guys not return them if your having problems with them?
  2. I love mine had it for two years now. Maybe I got lucky but I don't have any of the issues others seem to have. Great drag, super smooth and very light. Just for comparison I do have an Abu MGX as we'll and to me I like the Carbonlite just as well especially since I could have bought three Carbonlites for what I payed for the MGX.
  3. I really like the markers also, easy to carry along with you and not messy at all.
  4. Dang that's a nice one!
  5. Good stuff, sounds like a great trip.
  6. Congrats on the PB.
  7. I got some banjo minnows last year and just used them last week. Was surprised they actually worked great. They also catch turtles, here's a video last week at a pond by my house catching a turtle on one.
  8. I agree just started using the 6th sense ones about a month ago and really like them.
  9. I would be interested in hearing your comparison of the ci4+ and the MGX after you get some time on the water with it. I have a MGX as well and have been really debating on getting the new ci4+ but wanted to make sure I would be happy with it before I dropped that much cash on one. Again would really like to hear your opinion on how they both compare.
  10. Laughed so hard it brought tears to my eyes!
  11. I've switched over to the Owner Twistlock hooks for almost all of my soft plastics including flukes and see no negative impact on action. I wish a would have made the switch a long time ago, definitely get a lot more use out of soft plastics while using them.
  12. Awesome trip and some great looking smallies.
  13. Nice fish!
  14. Sounds like an awesome trip, I love those smaller lakes like that. We have a few around here that are electric only and they are some of my favorite spots to fish
  15. Mend-it is your best friend when it comes to rage tail baits.
  16. Man that's a nice one for sure.
  17. Both of my spinning rods for bank fishing are pretty short a 6' GLX and 6' 3" quantum smoke. I so much prefer shorter rods especially for bank fishing. It's so much easier to cast if you have to squeeze I between trees and such. I see a lot of people recommending a longer rod for casting distance, my question is just how far do you really need to cast? I see you said you'll be casting 1/4 to 3/8 oz baits, in all honesty with a 6' rod you'll be able to cast those weights a country mile. Distance is not going to be a problem at all. I would go shorter then if your in a tight situation your casting is gonna be a lot easier.
  18. Man I gotta get some of those to try out.
  19. Does TW have those new colors in stock? Don't see them on there web site yet.

  21. Just found the one I had here's what it looks like. You can do the same thing with just a butt cap and a few quarters.
  22. I had a couple of these a several years ago from Bass Pro. Came with several weights you just put in the butt cap and screw it on your rod, back then the ones I had were made of course for the Bass Pro rods which had threaded inserts to screw the cap on with. Thought I saw some newer ones that could just slip over the butt of any rod without screwing it on.
