  5. "What ever you want, dear."
  6. I like jig-n-craw. But I find soft plastics more versitile. More rig and weight choices. ie; t-rig, Carolina, dropshot, wacky...etc.
  7. I always have 2 of my favs tied on at all times. I rotate lures on other rods.
  8. My go to box: Gene Larew Hoodady jr T-rigged in dark watermelon candy w/ tail tips dipped in chartruse dye Gene larew 8" worm (elec. blue w/ pearl tail) Bagley crawfish crank jig and craw trailer. bagley 'b' med. "black splatter-back"
  9. Anyone got some helpful hints on fishing Dripping Springs Lake? I was there last week and could only find small bass. water temp 66 and muddy.
  10. Crappie, catfish, black drum, sunfish, gar and snagged a carp all while fishing for bass w/ lures.
  11. I spent 2 days this past week on this lake. Touted as a Primier Bass Lake with several large bass taken every year. Restocked last season. I could only find a few small fish. Water temp 66 and muddy. Does anyone know how to find fish on this lake?
  12. I'm glad I'm not the only one.
  13. If the trim bleeds down it may have a problem. Personally, I would run from the old "Tower of Power" mercs. But that 's IMO. It may be just fine. You will have to test it out and run it. See if it "sputters" on acc. I am not familier with the brand of boat. Any way best of luck. Only you will know if it fits YOUR needs. Old boats are that. OLD. somethings will work and some not. Based on what you told me I would not go over $3000 +/- ck out this one in your area. http://lansing.craigslist.org/boa/3711109878.html
  14. I would recommend Pine Creek, McGee creek, cedar lake, and broken bow.
  15. Nice looking! Run a compression test on that motor! Those older mercs also seem to have elec. problems and are hard to get parts. Good luck.
  16. I bought this boat on CL. $800 for boat and trailer, bought a used Johnson motor and had it rebuilt. Under $3k invested.
  17. Edge, F500 and F700 series.
  18. Falcon rods, some ardent reels, Most mono lines, Gene larew plastic lures, Bill Norman Crank baits. Just of the top of my head.
  19. I use seagar invisX #12 on baitcasters, Spiderwire mono on spinning #10-#12.
  20. I use invisX fluro for all my set ups. yes it does sink. I just raise my rod tip up. However some prefer mono. I wont go to using leaders, too many knots/weak points.
  21. Look closly at the Daiwa Exceler.
  22. IMO: Shimano Sellus for under $75, Move up to Falcon Bucoo for $99 -$110 range. There are many choices in the $100 price range.
  23. I like Daiwa's Ballistic. I also use Daiwa Tierras and a Procaster sp33. IMO Daiwas are the easiest to use and very forgiving.
  24. I only use 4: 2 for different soft plastic 1 for cranks and spinner baits 1 heavy (football) jigs
  25. My equpment (sorry no pics) 2 Daiwa Tierras matched to Sellus 7'2" MH rods 1 Daiwa Ballistic matched to Falcon Bucoo 7' MH 1 1987 Daiwa SP33 7:1-Wohali 6'6" H
