  1. OMG, American's are so generous. we europeans can teach some of that ...
  2. my rod is a team daiwa spin jigger. It's 2m70 long and cast weight is 7-25gr and action is fast. i have it mounted with a team daiwa match spinning reel in size 3012, it has a ratio of 4,7:1 and 79cm retrieve. I choosed that reel cause it was the only real four concept that i could affort me. I use this combo for fishing texas and carolina and weightless, also small minnows, and spinners. i realy love this combo. now i'm looking for a baitcasting rod and reel. with normal ratio and about 15-60 gr, for throwing big spinnerbaits and lipless crank's. also i like to say that i'm not a bassfisher but a northern pike fisher.
  3. the thing is that here in europe for pike fishing we use big spinnerbaits like 40gr (1 1/2 oz, 1,5 oz) and sometimes we use colorado leaves, those leaves crank more than willow leaves. we use leaves of size 1 till 9. for that I ordered a 15 - 60 gr rod ( 1/2 - 2 oz) best in a composite of glass and carbon, to absorb the vibrations, that way it's more comfortable.
  4. if you use a lot of deep crank's you better take a baitcasting combo. but it's not necessary, its just better. however like said before, you can catch fish on any rod. if youre a starter don't buy to much, later you will regret. cause you will know more about rods and reels, and you're gonna want you choosed an other rod, cause it's not perfect for what you will use it for, and finnaly you will know what's perfect for the use you will do with it, and buy again ...
  5. i'm From Belgium, but I live in France now. In Belgium and the Netherlands and Germany we have no bass. The biggest basses are in Spain, Italie and Maroco, and south and east of France
  6. I'm from europe (Belgium and France) and i use as well baitcasting as spinning rods and reels. for texan, carolina and weightless i use spinning, also for little jerk/minnows and jig's. for deep cranking, lipless crank's en spinnerbaits i use baitcasting.
  7. Hi all, I up this topic for a question concerning spinnerbaits. I read you guys say you use a MH rod for spinnerbait, what's te cast weight in oz of MH rod ? (in europe a mh rod is 1/4 - 1 oz, but i don't think its the same in the united states.) and if you had to fish northern pike (little musky) (i'm from europe) with a spinnerbait, what cast weight would u use for youre rod ? does a liplles crank (vibrations) rod has the same specifications as a spinnerbait rod ? thanks ...
