  1. Hello from Columbus, IN!!!!
  2. Welcome to the forum. Sounds like your working for the fishing mob... lol.
  3. Welcome. Newcomer myself. Think you'll really enjoy the forum. Tight lines and God bless.
  4. My goals are to become more familiar with drop shoting and the Carolina rig, take steps to join a local bass club to prepare for tournaments, and a new pb wouldn't hurt...

  6. Welcome! This forum is going to be a huge help to you as a beginner. Some great rigs yo start out with would be a Texas rigged worm or soft plastic of any kind and a wacky rigged Senko. Just search the forums and you'll be able to find all that you need. Most important have fun. Tight lines and God bless.
  7. Welcome just joined the site as well. Learning lots already. Tight lines and God bless.
  8. I fish a private gravel pit close to my area its not managed though. I don't find it to be easier fishing. It's still just as challenging if not more than some of the public lakes that I fish. Will admit average size is bigger, but that's about the only difference. Don't consider it cheating at all just get out and do what you love. Don't worry about the heat you catch from jealous friends.
  9. I'll try and answer your questions the best that I can, but I'm definitely not an expert. Guessing at water temp just from the air temp you gave I'm guessing 40-60 degrees. Given those conditions I'd be fishing two baits. One being jig with a pork craw trailer orchatter bait of some kind if the water is really murky both worked very slow. Second would be a husky jerk with long pauses between jerks. Soft plastics will be better once the water reaches the mid 50's Hope this helps some. Tight lines and God bless.
  10. Congrats nice catches. When the water is cold I'm glad if I can catch some.
  11. Congrats sounds like your off to a great start and.learning lots.
  12. Wow... funny pic and ryneb catching a peacock bass is on my bucket list too. Heard the fight is comparable to a smallie on steroids.
  13. Congrats on the nice catches. Happens toe all the te when we're crappie fishing. My wife always catches more and the biggest... lol
