  1. So after recently purchasing a kayak for the lady i have decided i want to upgrade mine. I am debating on what i want, my two strongest options as of now are the WS ride 135 or 115, or the WS commander 120 or 140. i am 6'2" and about 225 pounds, i would love to be able to stand with ease if possible to flip and pitch and sight fish. Also any advice on length, shorter vs longer? i fish mostly flat water, small lakes and bigger reservoirs. I am not opposed to looking at any other suggestions anyone might have, i would like to keep the price under 1100 (although i wish i could afford a pro angler lol). thanks in advance!
  2. thanks for the replies guys, looks like im gonna give 20# a whirl and see what happens.
  3. Jimmy Houston, met him at a resturant when i was 10 near the TN river loved him every since, great guy.
  4. yea, it was the christmas combo, i'm not sure if it's as tough as the regular PQ but i figured i would give it a shot, so far so good. bought the combo bc i lacked a medium casting combo. i use regular Power pro on several other setups, looking foward to trying the super slick.
  5. I second this!
  6. I bought a medium action pro qualifer combo from bass pro because i got it on sale for 89.00, and to add more sensitivity i want to go with braid, i'm planning on throwing light t-rigs, and light plastics on this rod in stained water. what size braid would you recommend for this setup?
  7. Love the pond magic for some rivers and creeks i fish, for anything bigger i use war eagle.
  8. Its the only hook i use.buy em, fish em, your wallet will thank you.
  9. ANNNNNNNNNDDDDDDD......everything is gone ): sad day.
  10. Dont care for BPS hardbaits, but their plastics are okay. Academys H2O xpress hardbaits are the way to go as far as store brand lures.
  11. I think i will download it and post the worst spots i can find, that'll keep em off my fish lol.
  12. Had the same problem here last saturday, except i didn't even make a cast lol.
  13. I would already be gone haha.
  14. Glad to hear i'm not the only one here all the time. Considering all of my "fishing" buddies around here prefer a zebco 33 and a worm, this is about all i have lol.
  15. We could arrange that lol. He is actually running for governor of Tennessee haha.
  16. I may have a problem, it seems that if i am not fishing i'm reading about fishing. how much time do you guys spend on here? I'm almost scared to say it, but i spend 3-4 hours a day on here. My number of post doesn't prove it but i'm more of a listener than a talker. So post away so i can waste some more time!
  17. lol, his youtube fame is getting out of hand.
  18. You got it.
  19. That guy is in my living room as we speak.....no joke, racoon died last year though.
  20. I own 2 paddles, one is a 190 dollar "high-end" paddle and one is from walmart, while the expensive paddle is maybe 1/4lb lighter i can paddle faster and turn quicker with my 50 dollar walmart paddle.
  21. gonna need atleast 150 more bags of flukes hahaha. On a serious note, looks good. i see alot of the same things i have in my bag.
  22. been using bartdude since i was a kid because i loved the simpsons (and still do), too lazy to remember anything else. I get looked at funny at work when HR ask for my email lol.
  23. Now THAT is the best idea i have heard in a while.....off to find a plastics maker.
  24. NEVER rig a fluke or a swimmin super fluke on a jig head and bounce or drag it on the bottom..just don't work. There is no way it would be deadly in every season.nope.
  25. Well i gotta have one now, but one question. Where are ya throwing that thing around Cookeville? I fish center hill and dale hollow on occasion, would love to hear your results!
