Always excited for their new releases. The team pro is a beast and all aluminum. A mag style reel won't have the same feel so I would be hesitant to dc them right off the bat
That is a generation 1sx...the second generation sx had red accent..
The stx had a straight handle and drag star for both generation 1 and generation 2.
From what I have read, the power and smoothness of the generation 2 made it popular. The gen 3 has focused on weight reduction at the expense of said smoothness.
Also, the generation 3 gave a lower gearbox housing which a good amount of people find uncomfortable
To be fair, many big crankbait rods now have a ton of backbone and a moderate action which a punch Rod or deep Carolina rig Rod...I can see it being an option
I have an 8.1:1 super duty for my jigs and Texas rigs in wood or cover etc. For frogging or places with heavy weeds, I'm using the 7.1:1 for the speed and little extra torque. Both have Long handles which help overall.
My tournament mb is 8.5:1 and used for weightless plastics and topwaters because the dual braking helps with lighter lures.
Well I had the trap caster. That would probably make a good spinnerbait Rod as it had some give to it. It was the micro version and the guides did break easily.
The 6'10 pitching stick was rated a heavy but at most a mh if that
