  1. i was thinking timed
  2. on this 2002 tracker pro team 175 I bought, has a manual and auto switch for the live well... When manual is selected it fills the live well... but when I select auto it does nothing.. What is it supposed to do? cause once I figure out if it is timed or float operated I can try and fix it
  3. AR Fishing Lic. $10.50 AR Trout Stamp $5.00
  4. I guess i have been thinking wrong the whole time... i would of thought clear water would warm faster and deeper then stained due to the sun rays shinning deeper into the water... I know dark colors absorb heat but... I guess you do learn something new everyday.
  5. Here we go guys, You are going fishing the weather has been 60 -65 sunny days and 38- 50 every night for 5 days. (before the warm spell, there was snow on the ground) You have the option to fish a lake that is a river oxbow with stained to muddy water. Lots of buck brush and laying logs. Or a clear lake with visibility depth of 3 ft. With lay downs, points, and some standing timber. What one do you fish and why?
  6. I was looking around TW and saw these, so i grabbed a couple bags. After seeing and holding them I am really looking forward to see how they fish. IDK much about them but they sure do look good. I even got a little hungry
  7. honestly what makes me buy a new lure is reading these forums every time I read about something I have not ever used here it seems like I end up buying it... I gotta stop... lol I tend to buy baits by color, and style...Most of the water i fish is stain to muddy so I buy darker colors...

  9. Thanks MonteSS-- If the transducer is on the back the you see what you have already passed... correct? Also if I decide to get one I was thinking of mounting the screen at the drivers console and having it on a swivel..
  10. thanks, I am not worried about how fast I get down the lake as most lakes I fish I never even crank the motor. There are just a few lakes were I will even open it up. Besides the fish ID, I was more wondering if I went with a Down Imaging or Side Imaging sonar... if I do where would you mount the head unit?
  11. I just went through this exact thing with a boat I bought from TN and registered in AR I got a bill of sale with the motor, boat and trailer, serial numbers signed by both parties. I then got the boat registration signed by the original owner. I also asked for the release of lien from the bank where they were paid off and this he did not have but went to the bank and had them mail it to me... The DMV looked it all over and just the other day i got a title in for the trailer. The boat is registered by Game and Fish... hope that helps
  12. Well, i got a pretty good deal on a boat. I found a 2002 Tracker Pro Team 175 with a 40 HP. (Pic Below) I got this boat for 2k cause the guy needed the money bad. After I had it checked out, I need 2 new batteries, Tires, and I am going to replace the water pump. Now for my question... I really have never used a depth finder before, just the ole stick the pole in the water . The last month or so I have been reading and watching youtube videos on fish finders, I want a SI DI Fish Finder but I have a few questions. I have went and looked at them and asked a few questions there but I wanted some others ideas as well.. If you has this same setup and was looking at a fish finder under 1500 what would you do and where would you mount the transducer and head unit... TIA
  13. this might help ya...
  14. how did you know that wasn't shorter grass? I am new to sonar and i am reading and learning. What i see there is, those "fish" are more dense then the other grass is that correct?
  15. wow really, last year we tore them up with the summer craw color. This year I have yet to catch a bass on any thing other then a fluke. That is the exact same color I used. I wore out an entire pack without so much as a nibble. T rigged w/ 1/8oz weight on a 4/0 EWG gammy. There are times and water where one particular color is not suited for our style or choice of presentation. Normally, I would use Summer Craw as a Jig Trailer for flippin or swim jig applications since a quicker motion is often needed to create the reaction strike. And this isn't to say that it doesn't work as is flipped, Tx or C rigged because many folks and lakes "have to have it". IMO, darker colors like Green Pumpkin, Watermelon/Red, California Craw and Black'n'Blue flake are more appropriate for those presentations. I hold to the theory that with Light and Bright, move it quicker and w/darker colors you can slow'em down. Hope that helps Big O www.ragetail.com We rig ours weightless with a #4/0 gammy hook. throw it out and let is sink about 10 secs... then twitch twitch, let it sink... etc... The bass are killing it. most of the time as soon as it hits the water they tag it. it falls horizontal like a senko or a stick bait and it seems to work. I have also fished it weightless and topwater. chunk it and reel it with a high speed reel and caught some nice fish. I have tried the space monkey with no luck at all... idk why.
