  1. Good afternoon all so my fiance bought me a abu veritas plx spinning ML/F for Father's day(surprised me) and I have no experience with a ML rod I've always used M spinning for most of my lite soft plastics with that being said is the spinning PLX ML enough rod for wacky/ ned and few other applications used mostly around docks and skipping no cover being used around thanks yall
  2. What is someone going to use a moderate fast for?
  3. I have plenty of MH and Heavy fast action rods but wanting something different to use. I'm looking to get a medium power rod but what action Fast or moderate fast want to use this rod for lighter applications throwing T rigs, spinner, hollowbelly swim, shallow cranks etc. Like I said just for lighter applications stuff
  4. Would a fast or moderate fast better suite me? Also!!! What other applications could be used on this set up????
  5. I fish alot of lake that have common frogbit in it in shallow spots next to banks and shallow coves which produces insane frog bites and pitching for me. I'm in search for a dedicated frog/pitching rod specifically for those frogbit and around laydowns. My question is should I go for a heavy or MH and fast or moderate fast rod? The frogbit is thick but not crazy thick not like these floating mats in Florida stuff. Im in VA so most of y'all Virginia folks know what I'm talking about.
  6. kind of in a situation the wife said don't spend over $200 so I pushed her up to $220 because I wanted to get the Dobyns colt and Lews Tournament MB which would have been $220 with that being said I could always get the Lews LFS and the Dobyns Fury for $220 what would yall do?
  7. haha good thing I like some pb&j
  8. Ok yall I've finally decided I'm going to get a couple of Dobyns Colt series rods. Im getting two of them and will be used for an "all around" rod besides deep cranking and heavy cover. So should I go with the 704c or the 734c for an "all around".
  9. Anyone fish Briery Creek lately? Going Friday just checking in to see how things were
  10. I didn't know since it being a fast tip would I need something with a little more stretch to it to keep from pulling the cranks out
  11. I just got my Lews Tournament MB and Dobyns Fury MH/F since ill be using this combo for shallow/Medium cranks and square bills also some in between bait (kind of all around rod) what would be a recommended line. I was leaning towards YoZuri Hybrid or P Line CX since its a fast action tip should I use a co poly or a mono don't want to rip the cranks from there mouth. Thanks
  12. I guess I could throw lipless to rip it
  13. it would be used for t rigs, chatter, spinnerbait, jigs, hallow belly swimbaits,
  14. Thanks yall now what type of rod should I pair it would power/action
  15. So pretty much anything other than treble hooked lures
  16. My brother gave me a 7.0:1 reel over the weekend what are some techniques that could be used with that gear ratio?
  17. So how would a fast action rod do with cranks
  18. Good morning everyone looking to get a new rod something kinda "all around" either the dobyns 703c or falcon Bucoo going to go with MH but can't decide if I should go with moderate fast or fast action. Which action is more so "all around"
