  1. Here's my 2 cent .... A old school ugly stick vs something like a dobyns rod. Both can land fish but one is lighter and more sensitive. It's all about what you can appreciate.
  2. When bass get finicky I've personally like throwing my finesse style bait on my ultralight rod on power pro 8lb test with a 4lb test p line 100% fluorocarbon leader or on the 5lb test FC sniper. Biggest I've caught was a 4lb 09oz spotty on a lake fork live baby shad on the dropshot on a size 4 vmc dropshot hook on a 1/8oz gremlin sinker. I personally like smaller bait(2inch-4inch) and hook(size 1- size 4)when fishing 4-5lb test line. But the down fall to this is like what everyone else say ... Line abrasion ...
  3. So I got the 6ft medium heavy Team Daiwa T Casting rod and notice that the rod tip was too stiff to my liking is all extra fast taper "tip stiff" or is it cause the rod is short? Also what's a good technique to use for this rod since its a extra fast taper with a stiff tip?
  4. I remember my mega strike attractant being a clear color paste but now the paste is brown? Is it normal or did the attractant expire?
  5. When I'm in doubt I dropshot.
  6. Creature baits ... Crank bait .... Frog ...
  7. The area I fish at is quite shallow about 1-2ft water because I fish at the bank so is it required to fish the flick shake with the whacky jig head? Or I can fish the bait weightless? I know I won't have the casting distance when fishing em weightless what's the best option I have? Whacky jig head, dropshot, split shot?

    Wacky Hooks

I use owner mosquito hook in size 1 using roboworm and zoom finesse work and hook up 1-4 lber with no problem I only have little trouble with setting the hook when using the beefy senko in 5-6inch
  9. Twh have the daiwa t3 ballistic on sale for 109.88 worth the money in my opinion because regular price was 249.95 - 269-95
  10. Lol same here I might get the 8.1.1 and the 6.3.1 I heard 8.1.1 got a better handle but we'll see I guess ima lock it up even though I don't need another 6.3.1
  11. TW have them on sale for 56% - 59%. At the price of 109.88 is it the best reel for the buck? Considering it is a $200 reel.

    Overstockbait

    Thanks for the reply guys.
  13. Anybody ever order from overstockbait? I find some nice stuff for a nice price but don't know if they are a legit site or a scam. Lmk if anybody have experience from them. Thanks!
  14. Thanks guys I guess I was just paranoid buying from a different rod company.
  15. Haha alright then cause it's just this one out of my 4 rod that the guide shoots up instead of leveling out.
  16. Left is the diesel and the right one is my shimano
  17. So I just got a powel diesel today from twh and I notice that the rod guide were a bit odd as in the rod guide were pointing more towards up compare to my shimano and other rod that are level out. Is it normal or is it defect? Should I be concern to the rod breakage?
  18. Lews laser mg speed spool
  19. Techinque- #12 yozuir hybrid on baitcaster - jerkbait, top water, t rig #6 yozuri hybrid on spinning - drop shot and trout and pan fish Choosing this overr flouro because for 600yrds for a price of 11.99 its hard to beat. It may not be seaguar or sunline but it gets the job done.
  20. When I'm using leader it breaks at the leader knot but when I'm using the main line as in braid or flouro or mono it breaks at the knot. And yeah maybe I should stop casting hard. Loosing them lucky craft pointer and mega bass vision isn't fun at all. Gotta draw back to cheaper replica like the twitch stick and the rcstx
  21. I use braid with a leader to drop shot and it never failed me. Also I do feel more bites and the bottom more using braid and leader compare to using straight fluro.
  22. Anybody else hate it when you snag your line on a cast loosing your lure? Idk if its my knot tying or the line itself but I'm using powerpro #30 with yozuri hybrid #12 as a leader. Line to line knot is the uni to uni and lure to knot is improved clinch or sometime the palormar. I do notice that the uni to uni knot do grind the guide of my rod. And I do cast pretty hard to reach max distance doing an overhand cast. Lmk what you guys think.
