  1. Garret, if you want something that is sturdy and handle heavy abuse from pitching/flipping I highly suggest you check out the Lews Superduty.
  2. Tip 1. Remeber when he said he kept a journal ? He breaks down a body of water into sections. Section 1 he may have caught the fish on a deep crank, chartruese in color, 10# mono, 80 degrees with 3mph winds out of the north, water clarity and depth. Then on to sections 2,3,4 and repeat. So now when he goes back to that lake he has knowledge on that lake.
  3. Redlinerobert, we have several different species of boas and pythons plus a few different lizards. Birds and monkeys. Lord knows all the different invasive fish in the waters. Supposedly a few venomous species also.
  4. I have had my Quantum 3.0 and 4.0 Energy PTi's for close to 10yrs now. Used heavy in both salt and freshwater. Just today I noticed a 3.0 antireverse going out and contacted DVT. I always look for used ones when out and about. I highly reconmend them.
  5. Flyfisher, start now. Find a reputable school, talk to the sensei etc. Dont go to a school the promises a blackbelt in a year.
  6. Mlbassin, which is the 2nd one ?
  7. Shorin-Ryu, Shotokan, Tae Kwon Do and Muay Thai. Though bad knees from jumping out of planes when I was in the Army makes it hard to do now days.
  8. Yes there are a few. DVT will probably see this post and answer your questions.
  9. Yea, I lose my man card.
  10. I told my wife about the BPS card. She said dont even think about it.
  11. Pay it no attention.
  12. Yes, they are slowly adapting. I just wish the peacock bass would to.
  13. Dont think so. Northwest Fl has them I think.
  14. 30,000 grit or more sandpaper. Similiar to what they use on headlights. But I got to ask why ?
  15. MCS, in the glades they will eat birds, hogs, rabbits, gators etc.
  16. I use them for salt water. Love them for drifting shrimp. Caught the snook in my avatar on a intercoastal model.
  17. Snakes are fun. Ive caught most of S. Floridas snakes. Both venomous and non. Not a 18ft python though. I'd probably have to a .40 in his/her head.
  18. Better to be safe than sorry.
  19. There are a few nice ones. Mojo, ***, to name a couple. If possible take the reel to a store and try it on several rods and choose the one you like the best. Good luck.
  20. Power Pro...from bluegills to sharks.
